A joke that set off a trigger
A trigger I knew nothing about
Something that wasn't important led you to snap at me like a hungry predator to prey
All I did was joking say "I'll pick my battles" over a small disagreement about where a sign was placed
How does that go any further than a comment jokingly said for humour?
How did that become disrespectful?
How did that small thing burst into a storm of rage?
How far have you been pushed or have bottled things up to snap at someone who looks up to you over something so small?
How broken and sad do you half to be to snap at someone when no one is watching?
To make them feel so small
To let them know mistakes aren't tolerated
To kill the little light their holding onto?
You're killing me with your words and yet you're the victim because you felt embarrassed?
You've gotta be kidding me
