My eyes shut. My lips parted. We got real close...then "i got you!" He yelled. He pulled back and started to dance. "i did it!" i stood there. Maria stood there. "ok, only kidding ruby..." I shoved the flowers gack to him causing the thorns of the roses poking his skin. I ran out the front door and to the park crying. Why would ge do that? Why. WHY. "WHY!" I screamed. My voice echoed off into the distance. My tears streamed down my face, and everyone was watching a grown girl cry. I sat at an old tire swing and started to swing on it. A tap on my shoulder made me jump, as i turned around i saw what o never wanted to see again. Antoinio. He smiled at me. "hey, long time no see? This is a kids park, which ones yours?" He asked. My lip trembled and my eyes got watery. "piss off" i scream, and i ran. I wanted out. I cant go home. Cant go to the park. i cant even..."hey! You! Stop!" A man called. I half turned. "Are you ruby myers?" I nodded. "im jacob wilson. Jack's older brother." I took a step back. "this isnt happing" he took a step forward. "im affraid so" i took 2 steps back. "why did jack do that?" He shrugged his shoulders. "man period" i must have looked at jacob funny cause he bursted out laughing. "ok, since you to had planned to go to the beach, how bout just the to of us go to white waterworld?" Jacob asked. I considered it. "sure" i smiled. "lets go, my car is near the park." I nodded. We started to walk. Silence. Once we got to the car, hopped in. Silence. Half way through our ride to the gold coast, we got stuck in traffic. The silence was painfull! I had to break it! "so umm...i like your hair jacob....its ah-ah um shiny!" His head turned towards me and his eyes were looking for something. "thanks..." He finally said. "...your boobs look big today" my mouth dropped and jacob relized what had just happened. His fist banged the dash board "so sorry! I didnt mean too!" I bursted out laughing. "you were all like: whole fuck what did i just say! she gonna kick my balls!" I banged my wrist againest the dash board the same way he did. Then he started to laugh. We were joking about it all day. On they way home our cheeks were red with sun burn, my arms and legs were tan. Jacob however, desided to be my shade and while eating lunch on the sun, he stood in one spot so the sun wont hit my eyes. On the way home we stopped to buy icecream. I got a single cone with cookies and cream icecream, while jacob got 3 diffrent flavours! Cookie dough, cookies and cream and fudge brownie! (i got a tad jealous) when we arrived at my sisters place it was 5pm and jack had left (thank god) and jacob and i aranged another meet up. I walked into the front door, and brent, maria's husband gave me a letter. "here, take a read" to be honest, i dont think he likes me. "wheres maria?" I asked. "things" i sighed and walked to my room. i sat on my bed and opened the letter: i sighed. Its from jack: "Hey ruby, im sorry about before. I was dared too do it! Wasnt my fault! Dont get mad! I'd like a restart tomorrow....please call me! It would be like today never happened! -love jack" i looked at my phone. i picked it up, and dialed on jacobs number.
