I struggle to get the huge shark off of me. Its teeth are tightly clamped around my left arm and its flinging its head side to side in sharp movements, causing me to be flung around. I can feel another shark clamp onto my left leg.

"Arhgg." My screams are swallowed by the dark water.

The two sharks bite at me, their teeth sinking deeper and deeper every second. My body goes numb to the pain. I feel an impact on my right shoulder, but I'm too lethargic to turn and face the third shark. The water gets darker with the colour of my blood. It's no doubt I have lost too much blood.

My body begins to shut down.

The last breath that I have been holding onto leaves me, and my body goes limb. My eyes close, and the last thing I think of is that horrible man who left me here to die.

10 Days Later.

*Beep* *Beep**Beep*

I slowly open my eyes. The bright white lights in the room make me squint.

With half open eyes, I look around my surroundings.

I see a giant light hanging right on top of me from the ceiling. My eyes trail around the room and I dont see anything else. The walls are a bleak grey, and there is a door to my left. I can see I'm lying next to a monitor with an IV drip connected to my arm but the rest of my body is covered by a white blanket.

I bring up my left hand to try and take off the blanket when the door slams open. I jump and turn to the door with wide eyes.

In walks Mr Lodon, flipping through a clipboard and making his way towards me.

Thats when it all hits me.

I remember why i'm lying in this bed, barely able to move my body. It's all because of that man right there.

My blood boils and I glare at him with vengeance as he stands at the foot of the bed.

"I'm surprised you up this early", he says, briefly scanning me before flipping through his clipboard of papers again.

"I expected you to be out for another 5 days." He places the clipboard on the end of the bed, before coming to check my IV.

I glare at him as he makes his way closer toward me, hoping my gaze will burn holes into his face.

"You left me there to die." I say through gritted teeth. My glare intensifying with each word.

"No, it was a training exercise." He replies without any hint of empathy.

"Training?" I retort with a snort.
"You call this training?! I could have died!" I shout, my eyes widen as I realise this guy is completely insane.

"I went back and got you didn't I? Now shut it before I start regretting it." He snaps at me, his glare brings me to stop my argument. Now isn't a good time to fight back. I can barely move my body. Instead I opt for ignoring him and looking straight in front of me. I hope that he realises my foul mood and leaves me alone.

On the contrary I feel the covers being lifted off me. I look down and see he has moved the covers to my knees. I am wearing a thin hospital gown that must run down to my feet, it's way too big for me. I glance at my hands that are laying on my side. I notice my left arm is tightly wrapped in a bandage. The horrors of how I got the wound make me feel sick and I divert my attention to the man next to me.

He has found a stool and some bandages and is sitting next to the bed. He put a pair of gloves on and scoots closer to the injury on my left arm. Adrenaline takes over and I immediately move further away from him, ignoring the pain that snares up through my body.

"What are you doing?" I ask in a trembling voice.

His blue eyes look up at me from beneath his hooded eyes. He studies my face for a second before lifting his head up slightly so he isn't glaring up at me.

"Contrary to popular belief Princess, those wounds aren't going to heal themselves." He remarks with a cold grin.

My blood boils. He dares to care for me after hurting me this bad! What kind of a sadist monster is he?!

"Get the fuck away from me you sicko! You did this to me." I move further away from him, now protecting my left arm with my other one. I am not letting him lay a finger on me.

My outburst seems to have snapped something in him. His eyes glare up at me again, this time they aren't blue, they are black.

"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way." He warns, his head going slightly lower to make his eyes seem even more frightening.

"Get. The. Fuck. Away. From. Me." I emphasise each word. My body is at the edge of the bed. I don't have enough strength to walk, I'm hoping he will back off after seeing me reject him so deliberately.

My body relaxes slightly as I see him loosen up, his head shifts to face the floor and he releases a deep sigh. With his body still hunched I see him lazily lift up a hand and pick up something small up from the surgery tray next to him. My curiosity peaks, as I move my head to get a better look at what he picked up. Unable to make out what it is, my head turns to face him.

He lifts his head just then and we lock eyes. His eyes are full back, the whites gone once again, fear grips my body. I know this isn't good. He stands up to his full height. His body is still somewhat relaxed as he rolls his shoulders. That movement alone makes him seem to grow broader. He takes a step closer to the bed.

"Wh..what are y..you doing?" My voice trembles, revealing my fear. My hands begin to visibly shake as his brooding presence leans over me.

"The hard way." It's the last thing he says before I see his hand fly towards me, my body jumps into fight mode and I try to push him away from me. My weak attempts at defence tire my body out in seconds. I feel a pinch at me neck, and I turn my head and see him put down a needle back into the surgery tray.

"Yo.. you!" I try and shout but my voice comes out weak and hopeless. My limps start to lose their strength and lay back down on the bed. I refuse to let my guard down as my body begins to slack. My eyes still glare holes into him as I see him start preparing new bandages.

He looks to the side and smiles at my weak state, before going back to what he was doing. I try and tense up my body to say something to him but I feel no strength. On the contrary I feel my head make contact with the pillow and my eyes get droopy. Once again I skip into unconsciousness fearing for my life.

I know this is very very very late and unexpected. Don't worry I didn't give up on this book. I have just been too busy to write it. I am back now and I'm hoping to make some progress with this story in the coming weeks. Please look forward to the new chapters. Thank you 💓
