Ever heard of a stairway to heaven? Well that's completely wrong. It's a fucking elevator. Heavens getting technological...
Matt was bouncing excitedly in said elevator as he stood between his mother and his boyfriend. He'd always wanted to bring Nate up to heaven, now the border was broken he finally could.
Nate was less excited. He wanted to impress his boyfriends mother. He also wanted to blend in with the crowd up in heaven. But that would be hard to do with horns and a tail.
The elevator stopped and as soon as the doors open Nate was immediately blinded by the searing light. The light of heaven burning holes through his eyes. Matt took his hand and quickly drug him out into the cloud like city. Nate hesitated to step onto the clouds considering the structure of a cloud wasn't meant to hold up a person, but he took an step anyways and yep.
He fell through.
Matt flew through the clouds and grabbed him as he fell through the air. Matt held him bridal style as Nate catches his breath.
"Holy shit." Matt whispers, panting himself as he gets over his panic of Nate falling. "I totally forgot demons couldn't walk on clouds."
"I didn't know that was a thing." Nate smiled, kissing Matt's cheek. "Thank you for saving me."
"Anytime baby." Matt smirked. Matt's mother quickly flew down next to the young couple.
"Oh dear Nate honey are you alright?! Oh no you can't walk on the clouds can you??? Are you hurt?" Matt's mother fussed over the boy her sons carrying.
"Yes ma'am I'm alright." He smiles nervously. Matt smiles and kisses his boyfriend's cheek.
"Don't be nervous baby, she already loves you!" Matt reassures. Nate schools him a nervous smile, pulling his hoodie sleeves over his hands. He had changed before they left into a comfortable black plain hoodie with black skinny jeans. Matt has changed too, he changed into a white shirt with grey sweatpants. The reached a castle that looked exactly like a fairytale but all porcelain and marble. A very different change from the dark and dirty red stoned castle he lived in.
The entrance was basically a long marble hallways (solid ground for Nate to stand on.) matt kept an arm around Nate's shoulders as they walked through the marble halls with red carpeting. It was indeed regal with angel servants lining the walls. The queen leads the boys into a large white room with beautiful sculptures, and a long rectangular table with chairs.
"Now how about some dinner." She smiles, sitting down at the left of the head, Matt and Nate across from her.
"Sounds great ma." Matt smiles.
"Perfect. Sebastian?" She calls. Of course her butlers name is Sebastian, Nate thinks. "Can we have some Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets made please." Sebastian smiles and nods leaving for the kitchen.
"Now boys I must know everything!" She smiles.
"Everything?" Nate questions hesitantly.
"Of course! Like how you guys met, when you had your first kiss, where you two would meet up, who else knew, everything about Nate. You know the basics!" She rambles.
"Well we met at a battlefield, when our races were fighting, we looked at each other from the distance and fell in love and met there everyday after." Matt tells the story with pride. "We kisses first there too, about a week later. No one really knew though."
"Awww how sweet!" The queen gushes. "Now Nate, what about you, what happened to your horns?"
"Someone cut one in half while we were training and then a hound but a chunk out of the other one when I was late for curfew." Nate explains with a soft smile.
"Aw poor dear! Did it hurt?"
"It did at the time, it's like having a bone break but then it healed."
"And what about the scar on your face?"
"When I was in battle, I found a wounded angel who I tried to help up and to a medical tent, but they took their sword and cut me across the face. Said that he doesn't need a dirty demons help." Nate explains, not liking the attention.
"Oh no!" The queens sighs. "War isn't good for anything. Only blood and violence spread. But on a brighter question! What do you like about my son?"
"Moooooom!" Matt whined.
"Well I like his smile, it glows with beauty and positivity. I like his intellect and passion, seeing him ramble on about things that interest him light up my day. I like his humor, how he finds joy in very tough situations. Finds beauty in the mundane. I like his face, hes very handsome. He's very brave and strong, i admire him." Nate rants with a smile on his face. Matt kisses his cheek.
"Thank you baby."
"Aww you two are so sweet!" His mother squealed. Dinner came and the trio ate in silence. A comfortable silence. "Now I think we should discuss your wedding."
Nate choked when he heard those words.
"Wedding??" He croaked. Matt looking equally as shocked.
"Of course! You two must get married as soon as possible, considering your father is alright with it, Nate sweetie."
"Mom I think I'm gonna take Nate up to my room to get settled." Matt decided, holding his hand out for Nate to bring him upstairs.
"Oh, of course sweetie. I'll see you two later."
Nate and Matt went upstairs to Matt's room where they cuddled up on the bed together. Matt thread his hands through Nate's hair as he lay on his chest
