Chapter Nine: (not edited)

I wrote this while I was awake in the middle of the night on my Notes and just copy/pasted it so it's not complete and not edited but I did want to get it out. :)

I awoke to a darkened room. I must've  fell asleep at some point.  I would definitely say sleep is hard to come by with a stranger and potential killer in your home. Yesterday's events flowed back into my mind in an endless stream.
While he was in the shower I thought of escape but I couldn't bring myself to do it simply because I knew he would hunt me down. It then dawned on me that he wouldn't have clothes to wear when he got out of the shower and I doubt he would put on the tattered rags he was wearing before. I quickly grabbed my keys and  Scouts's leash. I did not trust leaving her alone with him. Then, I returned it to the hook by the door. I couldn't take her inside the store. It hurt me physically to leave without her, fearing in my absence she would become a light snack. I sped to the store and just picked up simple men's clothing, every second leading up to unlocking the front door felt like an eternity. I frantically checked every room downstairs until I found Scout sleeping soundly in the laundry room. Breathing a sigh of relief I made my way upstairs. I could hear the shower was still going so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the upper half of a naked man sitting on my bed.
"Ah!" I exclaimed covering my eyes with one hand, clutching the shopping bag in the other.
"I was beginning to think you'd ran away" he said. I could practically hear the smirk in his voice. I basically threw the bag at him and ushered him into guest room, still with my eyes closed. The bathroom was a steamy mess and the floor had water all over it. I made Scout sleep in her kennel in my room for both her protection and mine. It felt like the longest night of my life.
Now, hours later, everything seemed like a far away dream but my dreams where never so detailed. I turned over and came face to face with him. I nearly jumped out of skin until I realized he was sound asleep.
