Tara left the house shortly after he called the work force to inform that I won't be able to come to work.

It is Sunday afternoon and he usually go out and hit the gym.

I am finally feeling a little better.

I took a shower and checked my laptop to see if there are any orders from my customers online. This Friday I will be visiting Divisoria to get the orders for my customers.

As I scanned my online page, my phone rang.

I looked at it and seen an unknown number.

I hit answer and turned the speaker on but I still did not hold the phone up and just leave it laying on the table. I am still focused on my online business.

"Hello?" A man's voice greeted.

"Hello who's this?" I asked still scanning the website and taking notes.

"This is Leo, am I speaking to Amara?" The man asked.

I stopped and smile then continue on.

"Yes, yes you are"

"Oh hi!" I can literally hear him sigh "I thought you gave me a fake number." He then chuckled.

I laughed with him.

"You're funny, why would I do that?" I flipped my pen in my fingers and decided to stop what I am doing so I can focus.

"Well, I just-- thought.. anyways! Hi, how are you?" You know when you are speaking to someone and even if they are far away you can hear their smiles? Yes, that's it. We can hear smiles through the phone.

"Ohhh, the tequila bitched me bad." I laughed and bring my feet to the chair so I was seating Indian style.

"I thought so too, it did the same thing to me." He chuckled.

"Come on, maybe not as bad as what it did to me. This is the first time I ever called out sick." I shake my head in disbelief while looking at my phone like I was literally talking to it.

"Ohhh! It seems you had it worse then. Sorry I totally forgot to ask your work schedule."

"No that's fine. Friday and Saturday is my off. And as I've mentioned. This is the first time I called in sick so they just got to give it to me." I smiled.

"That says a lot about your work ethics. I really want to hire you now." He joked and we laughed.

"I'll think about it. Who knows?" I answered back.

"Sure, sure.. ahmmm..by the way are you free this Saturday?-- I know you said it's your off but--" he hesitated.

"No, it's okay. I have nothing planned as of the moment. Why?"

"Well, ahm .. We have some company gathering and the usual stuffs. I don't really want to come but my father insists, and I have to bring a companion so..."

I smiled again. He is just so cute. Who would have thought that a good looking and rich guy like him will hesitate like this and be like a total gentleman?

"I see.. what time will that be?" I asked.

"8 in the evening, I can fetch you at 7?" He asked still sounding unsure.

"Sounds like a plan to me." I said still smiling.

"Ohh great! Thank you" his enthusiasm is just so contagious.

"You're welcome. By the way, any particular theme of some sort?"

"Oh yeah, yeah.. It's gonna be a glitterati night. I almost forgot to tell you."

"Sure, I'll fix myself something to wear then" I answered making a mental note to check if I still have my dresses.

"I'm sure you don't really have to put so much effort. You will look good even with just a t-shirt on." He said then immediately added "oh God, I didn't mean for it to sound like that" I laughed so hard upon hearing this. Hmm this Leo is something.

"No no, really, sorry that was dumb of me." He added, I can imagine him red faced right now.

"It's alright, don't be. It didn't sound right, but I know what you mean" I chuckled. "And I'm taking it as a compliment." Am I actually having fun talking to him? Hmm..

"Phew. Sorry, my mouth got the better of me."

"No offense taken" I smiled.

"Right .. right." It took a few seconds of silence before he spoke again.

"So ahmm.. I'll be seeing you this Saturday then."

"Sure you will."

we ended the call and for the first time I feel myself smiling in front of my laptop even without my students online :)
