Your pov.

I stood up slowly as my eyes met his. I pursed my lips and clutched onto my drink tightly. Shit.. "How long have you been there?"

"Urm...since you and... *cough* started talking.."

"So you heard everything?"

"Yea...sorry.. I didn't mean to eavesdrop I just-" I stopped talking as he came up to me and pulls me into a hug. I stood there, still. He patted my head and hugs me tightly.

"Shes in the past, all I care about is you now." My cheeks flushed when I heard what he said. I tried to control my smile but I couldn't. Although its still a little unbelievable for me, that everything he said till now is somehow true, but even if its a dream, I do not want to wake up from it. "Yah, what are you thinking about?" He pulls away and knocks my head lightly with his fist.

I rubbed my forehead where he knocked, pouting. "I'm just thinking."

"Of what?"

"You." I said, winking playfully at him. Both of us laughed as I smacked his arm lightly.

"Gosh, don't make me cringe (y/n)." He joked. "So.. is our lunch date still on?"

"Yep! I'm a little hungry too." He gave me his signature bunny smile and tucks his hands into his pocket as he nods his head towards the lift direction. "Lets go then."

When we reached the cafeteria, everyone started staring and eyeing at us. I mean is it not normal for a staff to eat with their own company's idol? "Yah, everyone is looking at us with those kind of looks."

"What kind of looks?" He asked, glancing around.

"Like those judgemental kind of looks? I feel scared, its as if they want to kill me. Probably your fans." I said as I pretend to shiver in fear.

"Don't worry about it, as long as I'm here no one will dare to touch you." He said as both of us grabbed our metal trays as the nutritionists placed the dishes onto it. We were about to walk to our seats when director Choi came to us, with a bright smile on his face. "Good afternoon (y/n). Lunch time huh?"

"Yes. Good morning sir. I have typed out all the emails and they are ready to be sent."

"Good. Oh and Jungkook, its been a long time." He said, while looking at him with a smirky look. I looked at Jungkook, who was gritting his teeth and his brows were furrowed. "What? You're still upset about what happened in the past?"

"You have no rights to talk to me about it." Jungkook spat, clenching on his tray tightly. He was ready to throw punches at director Choi from what I see. I could sense the intense air in between them. I wonder what happened..

"Alright alright. Enjoy your lunch then." He said, raising both his hands up as he walks off in his elegant black suit.

Jungkook then continued to walking back to our seats as I followed. I want to ask him whats going on between him and director Choi but I don't think its the right time. He looks...pissed off and a little upset. I can see the sadness and anger in his eyes. "You okay?" I asked. He turn to face me and stared for a moment before giving me a small smile.

"I'm fine." He assured. I huffed a breathe as we dug into our food. I only have fifteen minutes left of break so I better eat faster. Once both of us were done with our lunch, he walked me back to my work floor as he stood there, smiling at me. "(y/n)." He called. "Fighting!" He said, raising his fist in the air while smiling brightly at me. I did the same and waved bye before going back to my desk.

I looked over at Chaelee's empty seat. How did she know about Jungkook not showing up at our dinner meetup place yesterday? Maybe Jungkook told her about it? I shook my head and shrug off my thoughts returning back to my work mode.

[This morning, 6am]

Narrative.

The office building was starting to get noisier by the moment as everyone starts walking in and tapping in for work. Chaelee walked to her desk and sat down. She noticed a piece of note at the corner of her eyes. She turned to look at it and smirked. "He must've forgotten about their dinner since its still here. Idiot. Who do you think you are? To date my kookie." She crushed the paper and threw it into the bin, then going back to work as she sips on her cup of hot coffee which she bought from the vending machine a few minutes ago.

[Back to current time]

"Oh? (y/n), you're back from lunch so early?" Chaelee's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Oh? Yea.. I just chew really fast."

"Ah.. okay." She gave me a smile and faced her computer, typing in whatever she needs to. I still couldn't get the fact that she is Jungkook's ex girlfriend out of my head. To think of it, shes really pretty and fitting to be his girlfriend. They probably met at the wrong time. Like they say. 'Right person wrong timing.' I sighed. How am I suppose to believe that Jungkook would have any feelings for me? Shes so pretty and its just unbelievable and possibly impossible that he would even like me...
