So I apologize for not updating in 3000 years (you get a sticker if you get the reference) so let me catch you guys up!
So I backed out of martial arts for about a year and a half to focus more on school and my mental issues which is why I haven't updated.
I rejoined about 2 or 3 months ago and luckily didn't forget much. I got back into the swing of things and learned the things needed for my brown belt test this month.
However,
I do not know if I will be taking this test being that1) I have to create my own form
2) I have to create my own combinations teaching principles and concepts
3) I still need to relearn the meanings of my formsSo as of right now, all is going well except for my own form.
-update over-
STORYTIME!!
Last class, we had to spar each other.
(Important note: 98% of the classes I went to after rejoining, my karate instructor continued to tell me "you're doubting yourself" or "oh you're not confident in yourself")
I went to class with determination that I will NOT hear either of those phrases being used.
And guess what
I didn't hear either! I got some "Oh my gosh you're scaring me" (in a good way) and "you're doing great" and "oh my gosh you're doing amazing!"
So basically, what I'm trying to say via this story-time is that if you put your mind to anything, it can happen. Nothing is impossible. You just have to put your mind in the right spot, think positively, and act upon it
