HE STARED OUT the window of the car, taking in the scenery surrounding the city of Ixtenco, Mexico. Nick Fury was persistent that a simple storm was something not of this planet. Artemis himself had his doubts. It took a lot of convincing from Fury to call upon the services of Maria Hill and Artemis.

The car comes to a halt, Artemis jumping out of the car. Rubble crunching underneath his feet, seeing several civilians of the city in despair. It hurt him to see human beings in such a distraught state.

"I don't understand how this has anything to do with us. It could just be a simple storm." Maria said.

"I would agree with you Maria but from the look of the city, this could not be a simple storm." Artemis said.

"There has to be an explanation to this unnatural storm." Fury said. Artemis feels the ground shake underneath him, looking up to see a towering figure, body made up of the Earth.

"What the hell is that!" Artemis shouts out. The giant figure roars out before a flash of green light shoots at the figure. A floating individual glides through the sky, before landing on the ground behind Artemis, Fury and Maria. The helmet covering the individual's face retracts, revealing a man's face.

"You don't want any part of this." the individual said. He looks back at the giant monster, shooting green energy towards it before leaping back into the air.

"Get the civilians to safety." Maria command Artemis.

"Right." he nods, running through the rubble. He gathers several civilians together, rushing them to safety. Artemis manages to sneak a glance, seeing the man with what looked like a fishbowl helmet float through the air to keep the monster at bay. Gathering the nearest civilians and leaving them in an abandoned church, Artemis rushes back to Maria's side.

"Shouldn't we do something?" Artemis asked.

"Looks like he has everything handled." Maria answered.

"I guess so." Artemis mumbled. The fishbowl individual harnesses his powers, overpowering the monster. The roars of the monster booms around the city before its body implodes on itself, debris of the Earth thrown across the city. Pieces of rubble hit the ground near Fury, Artemis and Maria.

The fishbowl individual lands near the three of them, revealing his face once again.

"Who are you?" Fury asked.

"My name is Quentin Beck. I'm not from this reality of Earth. From my universe, monsters known as the Elementals destroyed my Earth. I came to stop them from doing the same to your Earth." the man said. Fury exchanges glances with Artemis and Maria before stepping forward to shake hands with the individual.

"Nick Fury. We could use your help." he said.

"As long as we can stop these monsters, I'll be glad to help you." he said.

"I suggest you meet us at our base. See you there." Fury said. Quentin nods before leaping into the air and flying off. Artemis walks up to Fury, uncertainty troubling him.

"Are you sure we can trust him?" he asked.

"He's all we got if there's more of these monsters." Fury said.

"But sir..."

"I expect no buts from you, Artemis. Don't forget I gave you a chance at S.H.I.E.L.D. after everything you've been through. Was that a bad decision on my part?" he questions Artemis.

"No sir." Artemis sighed.

"Very well. In the meantime, I expect you to get into contact with a certain young ally of Tony Stark's."

"You mean...Misty?"

"Yes."

"Why her?" Artemis asked.

"She's the only person to get through to a certain high school student." Fury added.

"You're enlisting the help of Peter Parker? Are you sure about this?" Artemis asked.

"I am and I expect you to keep an eye on him."

"I'm not a babysitter."

"And I don't care. Now get me Peter Parker." Fury commands.

"Yes sir." Artemis sighed.
