EVERYONE GATHERED around Beck, Artemis rejoining the group after getting Ned Leeds and Betty Brant to safety. Standing next to Peter, arms crossed before noticing the trouble expression painting his face.
"You okay?" he asked the young teenager.
"I messed up..." he mumbled.
"Peter." Artemis tries to comfort him only for Peter to resist.
"Don't try to make me feel better. It's the truth." he mumbled. If Peter only knew how much he helped in the long run. Misty joins their sides as well, Peter turning his attention towards her once he notices light bruising on her hands. Artemis knew how much he still cared for Misty. She just needed to tell him the truth.
"Are you okay?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
"I'm fine Pete." she slightly smiled.
"So it's over?" Maria speaks up, gaining the attention of the three individuals.
"That was the last of them." Beck nods.
"But not the last threat we'll ever face. We need to stay vigilant," Fury added. "There's a void in this world for someone like you. Hill and I are going to Europol headquarters in Berlin tomorrow. You should join us." Fury informs Beck.
"Thank you. I just might take you up on that." Beck shakes his hand. Fury soon directs his attention towards the three young individuals staring at him. He walks towards them, stopping in front of Artemis first.
"I'm glad you didn't disappoint me tonight." he speaks to the young male.
"Is that a compliment?" Artemis carrying a teasing tone in his voice.
"Don't push it," Fury stares at him with a deadpan expression. He soon directs his attention to Misty and Peter. "You two got gifts but Parker you didn't wanna be here and Leeds you're only doing this for the information I have that you're looking for." he bluntly said.
"Mr Fury, I..." Peter speaks only to be stopped by Fury.
"I'd love to have you both in Berlin too. But, Parker you got to decide whether you're going to step up or not. Stark chose you. He made you an Avenger. I need that. The world needs that. Maybe Stark was wrong. Was he?" Fury asked. Misty looks sadly at Peter, seeing his eyes beginning to grow watery with tears.
"Mr Fury...you can't..." Fury cuts off Misty as well.
"He needs to fight his own battles Leeds. Stop defending him," Fury dismisses her. He looks back at Peter once again. "The choice is yours. Artemis, let's go." he simply said before walking off. Artemis bids a goodbye to both Misty and Peter, leaving them alone together.
