𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 ❝ 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐊 ❞
ARTEMIS AND MISTY listen attentively as Beck and Peter break down the plan of attack with regards to the fire elemental. Despite how helpful he's been, Artemis still couldn't bring himself to trust Quentin Beck. He just felt there was something off about him. However, even if there was something wrong it's not like Fury would listen to him.
"When the fire monster shows up, I'll radio you guys and then that's when Mysterio and I will move in. Misty and Artemis will cover the outside of the cathedral and help control the situation on the ground if things go south." Peter said, appearing rather anxious about the plan. He was not happy about being here. Misty knew he was worried about the others. She and Artemis shared worried glances before listening to what Beck had to say himself.
"Peter listen to me. The best hope you have, the only hope is to stop it here now. No matter what the cost." he stated.
"Don't worry Beck, he has the both us. We'll manoeuvre the monster from the civilians." Artemis interrupted, earning glares from Fury himself. He knew the worst was yet to come. Fury didn't mention their mishap on the bus yet. He's going to sooner or later.
"Very well but the three of you keep it away from metal. If it gets too big, it will be able to draw power for the Earth's core. After that, there's no way to stop it." Beck added. His statement made Peter even more on edge, Misty wanting to speak up only for Artemis to shake his head at her.
"My friends are here. Because the our trip got rescheduled, I can't help but think we're putting them in danger." Peter's voice sounded very shaky.
"Pete." Misty mumbled under her breath.
"You're worried about us hurting your friends? You after you called a drone strike on your own school tour bus." Fury gets up from his seat walking towards Peter.
"Sir...I..." Artemis tries to defend Peter only to see his superior raise his hand at him.
"I'll deal with you afterwards, Artemis." Fury bluntly spoke to him.
"Oh great." Artemis mumbled under his breath. Fury directed his attention back to Peter, continuing to lecture the teenager.
"Stark gave you a multibillion-dollar A.R. tactical intelligence system and the first thing you do with it is try and blow up your friends." Fury spoke intimidatingly.
"That's not fair." Misty speaks up, Artemis groaning under his breath. Fury directed his attention towards Misty.
"This is not about what is fair or not, Miss Leeds." Fury simply said.
"You don't know what he's going through. What anyone else is going through. Yes we have a responsibility because we chose to use our powers to help others but we also suffer with our own loss and pain." Misty snapped.
