Odia's POV:

I hate myself, I swear.

"Can you just... pretend that didn't happen, and I've been asleep this whole time as some nightmare?" I bit my lip anxiously as Kyoya looked back at his laptop.

He glanced my way, "I suppose." I sighed in relief, "For now." He added making my chest tighten.

Kyoya's POV: before Odia's embarrassment

I was doing work on my laptop as everyone was asleep on the jet, until I felt a sudden weight on my shoulder.

I looked down to see Odia subconsciously snuggling into anything next to her, which so happened to be my arm. She wrapped her hands around my arm and made small sounds that reminded me of a kitten.

Her glasses were crooked as I slowly took them off her and set them in her lap like I usually did when she fell asleep in front of me.

Her face was slightly covered by her dark hair as I carefully brushed it away from her face. I was amused to see Odia in such a peaceful state. Her eyes were fluttered closed as he thick lashes casted a small shadow while her nose twitched a bit as her naturally pink rosebud lips were slightly parted.

----

I was 12 at the time as I walked to a playground with small children playing on it. My father had taken me to an underground buisness meeting, and I was stuck walking to a playground.

What stood out to me was a girl with long dark hair and a cane, insinuating she was blind. She sat on a swing as children varying in age played on the play tower with slides. She looked my age, and I soon found myself taking a seat next to her as I swayed.

Her head was tilted down, staring as her black Converse as her dark green dress fanned over her black tights. I got a look of her white eyes with a very damaged scar on her face along with several smaller ones.

I had heard the associate my father was working with had a sibling that came back from harsh conditions recenty, so I assumed this was her, "Who's there?" Her eyes were on mine for a few more seconds as she looked back down. She bit her inner cheek.

"You don't know me. My father is an associate of your brother." I replied as she nodded.

"How nice." She sighed, "You can call me... Odi, since you definitely don't know my name. My brother doesn't share it too much anymore." Odi looked down as she pulled a wavy lock of hair behind her ear.

"Care to inform me why?" I asked curiously.

She sighed as her face was pointed toward her untied shoe, "It's 'too risky' considering my current, temporary, condition. According to him at least." She shrugged, knawing at her imner cheek once more,"It's a real pain in the ass to be blind while trying to train the volunteers crazy enough to be here." Odi pushed up one of the loose laces with her other shoe, "So is your father a buisnessman or a fellow of the underworld?" She cracked a smile as she leant down, unsucceedingly trying to tie her shoe.

"Buisnessman." I replied simply as I watched her struggle with the laces.

I kneeled down in front of her as I tied her shoe. When I finished I looked at hr, "I could've done that myself... I could've figured it out sooner or later." Odi yet again lightly nipped at her inner cheek discreetly.

"I know you could've." I added, trying to stabilize my voice at this girl touching me, "Do you know how to tie your shoes?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"I never had the chance to really learn." She informed me, "My guardians had their own worries. Some people ar gracious enough to tie them for me, like you."

I took her hands as I untied the shoe once more. It would be ridiculous for a near teenager not to know how to tie a shoelace. I thought of the way my teacher had told me when I was little, "You take one lace and make a rabbit ear take the other lace and comolete the other rabbit ear. Fold one under the other and that's it." I guided her hands slowly through each step as she made a smile that showed off her teeth briefly.

I was going to stand up when I felt two soft hands cup my face ever so lightly.

Her thumbs soothingly stroked my cheeks ash her hands lightly cupped my face, "I wish my face were still this soft." She chuckled lightly, making I smile that seemed to shock the entire playground as well as teenagers watching the kids, "How unfortunate is my current state. I'll never be able to find a husband on my own at this rate." Odi stifiled a hearty laugh.

"She's smiling?!" Voices whispered.

"Your face is fine." I informed her as I looked around, "Do you not smile much?" My face was getting hot from this new experience of feminine touch.

"No, it's something I'm not quite accustomed to." Odi said, "You think my face isn't revolting? How funny, maybe we should get married then." My cheeks were getting red as she burst into laughter that everyone seemed to be awestruck by.

"U-uh..." I was unable to find words for the first time in my life.

Odi's soft hands let go of me as she gave me ine last smile, showing off the one dimple she had on her right cheek on one on the bottom right corner of her lip, "Take care of yourself. This world doesn't give happy endings to the greedy or ungrateful. Smile more, your face feels so stoic like my own. It's must be amusing to have a girl younger than you tell you this isn't it? But I got these words from my mother, she was a very insightful woman."

I couldn't grasp the words coming out of the young girl's mouth. She stood up as I did and bowed, "Thank for teaching me how fo tie my shoes. Hopefully I taught you something from my mother's insight." Odi gave me one last smile before she walked away.

----

It hadn't clicked for me until I first looked at her scar that she was the girl from that playground. I stared at her scar. It was no longer red and fleshy, but a darkened scar carved into her face. The smaller scratches had healed since then as well as her eyesight.

She shifted to rest her head on the window as she

After the embarrassment of Odia

"Don't ask unnecessary questions." I dismissed the question I had feared ever since her hysterical day, "For your sake, I'll pretend I didn't hear you."

"T-Thank you." She bit her inner cheek as she slid down in her seat.

After ten minutes, she did her kitten yawn while settling back to the window, "But Kyoya, can you answer why you've been acting so... strange?"

"Define strange." I continued to stare at my laptop, avoiding the fluttering I feel when staring at her.

"Well, saving me from Kenji, hugging me in the elevator. It's very unlike you to show the compassion you smother down." She pointed out as she chewed in her lip now.

"It's because you need to take care of yourself, but you seem to never find the time for it, so I do it from time to time." I tried to us incompassionate words to the best of my ability as she resnuggled into the window with tired eyes.

"Why would you do that? It's very unlike you." She yawned a bit as she blinked, rryung to keep herself awake, but eventually she peaceful lost consciousness.

After a while, I pushed her head onto my shoulder, "It's because I'm selfish and I love you." I muttered as I could feel myself drifting off.
