🍳Chapter 10🍳

After your meltdown for half the day yesterday you and miles planned to go to your moms house and you'd give them answers then. You weren't going to tell then your the new spider person but you were gonna at least gain back some of the relationships you've had with them. Just in case you had to leave you put your suit and web shooters in your small backpack. Miles was one of your best friends by now, you really wish you and him could just hang out in your dorm playing truth or dare or something. You started you really like his company, he was fun to be around.

Walking down the street you and miles had been gawking over the new Spider-Man, you. You felt a little flustered; he was starting to talk about how he didnt think it was a boy and thought you looked cool, but was worried about you.

"i think the new spider-person is okay, maybe they just need sometime, y'know?" you said, miles hand became held in yours, you had been used to this, not exactly thinking of it as anything big. "yeah, i know, i hope they figure it out" he says, as you both cross the cross walk, you hadnt stuck any new stickers for a while due to miles dad making you take them off with miles last time, you guys didnt talk about that. "Miles," you hummed, his head turning to you. " Did you hear sbout when they found out the race of Spider-Man?" you said while fidgeting. Miles seemed to tense up slightly, "y-yeah! You trying to figure out who it is?" he said; keeping his composer, you chucked softly as you spoke up, "yeah maybe, i saw him in a dream but it had a weird twist," you said simply, looking at miles, "He took off his mask and it was you," you said, the started laughing. "its crazy right?" you said. Miles looked nervous but then laughter erupted from him,"yeah!" he said.

The walk the rest of the way wasnt much more then just simple chatter. Coming up to your mothers door she swung it open and pulled you into the biggest hug; making you let go of miles hand. Minutes had past and your mother pulled miles into the hug, for a few seconds your face had flushed a light pink. When she finally let go, you gasped for breath, heading inside after.

Your nose was filled with the scent of pancakes and eggs, you smiled.

"Mamá, is it okay if i have some?" you asked politely, she nodded as she grabbed Miles and sat down  with him. You slowly made it to the couch, trying not to spill anything. As you sat down you picked up the conversation they were having.

"I just think y/n-, hey N/N" Miles had started to say but was cut off by you as you sat down. As you set your plate down you breathed deeply. " Listen, im uh, really sorry for my, lack of actually communicating and explaining. Recently ive been going through...life changing experiences, and I would like to make it up to you soon, after I get myself together," you finished, folding your hands in your lap.  They both looked at eachother and looked back at you. "Y/n, its okay," "yeah, we understand and everything we just want you safe and okay," your mother had said after miles, your mother putting her hands onto yours, you smiled. The moment was cut short by your spider since going off and Miles saying he has to leave. You kindly thanked him for coming, so did your mother.

You soon realized how late it was an left, giving her a large hug. You walked down the stairs, and onto the sidewalk. You looked around as you heard about the new Spider-Man not being there for the crime. You soon made it back to your dorm, put on your suit and swung out the window. You went up to the tallest building and breathed in, concentrating on what you were doing, you stuck to the side of the builing. You felt yourself push yourself off the building, falling down. Everything felt like it went in slow motion, but soon it went fast. In your sight you could see the ground becoming closer, you dove down towards it. Then in a flash you swung a web out and swung up, twiping the web out and then releasing it. You ran across the side of the builing and swung threw another,with your power, people watched as you went straight threw a building but climb the other one, you were amazing!  You swung up to a peak and perched on top of it. Soon later your spider senses kicked in about a robbery down the street, with your newfound confidence you swung down to the problem.

As you slowly entered you had analyzed the whole situation, you shot a web to set off the alarm making all the doors shut. You saw all of them attempting to break a window or shoot at the doors. And that is when you did your best work. "looking for an exit?" you said as the attention then came on you, shots were fired but you jumped backwards onto the support beam on the building, you then hopped down. Shooting a web you threw the mans gun in the air, then you shot a web at him. You ran to the otherside and yanked hard, he then fell, this now put a small barrier of the rest of the people. You slowly heard the door open with harsh noises, the getaway driver must have found a way to open it. You sensed bullets coming from behind you and jumped up, your body going backwards you shot a web at them and yanked them to knock on of the other people out. Only two people had been left now and it seemed they were more brutes then anything. "You think a tiny little spider is gonna stop something like me?!" one of them said as the punched you, you didnt dodge it, feeling the impact you coughed out in pain, grabbing their arm with one hand you used the other to web up the person on the side of you.
"I'm little?!" you said cracking a smile. You took your second hand and grasped his arm, getting a good grip. you then started to hual him into a circle, after building up enough momentuim you yet him go into a wall It then crumbling. You turned to see the person you previously webbed up, out of the weba and coming at you in full speed, then out of nowhere spiderman had swung in and knocked him out.
"Seems like i came in right on time!" you heard him yelling at the last person fell. "Why so late, someone step on you?" you said as you pulled all of them into bundle while huffing. "I got caught in a web, per say' glad to see tou here though," he said smiling through the mask as he helped you, webbing everyone up. The police had  finally arrived to the crime scene.  You then got nervous, seeing miles dad step out of the car.
"Hey, thanks back there though" you whispered as you walked up to the officer. "U-Uh," you cleared your voice "Officer Morales, I'm happy to report that they are all rounded up, they didn't end up getting anything out of the store," you said putting your hand behind your neck, you felt very nervous. "yes uh, splatted paint spider-man, i appreciate your work. I dont appreciate your methods but the help is needed. Morales said taking out a hand. "I look forward to working with you, and call me graphitti-web or uh, the painted spider?." Either works, you said smiling. "uh yeah, ill be calling you the painted- spider and i look forward to seeing you more, after what happened the other day im glad to see you up and at it, i doubted you, glad you proved me wrong" he said with his strong voice, he was very forgiving of you, which you appreciated. You gave him a smile as you Spider-Man was thanked too, you both waved goodbye, as you swung off.

You perched onto the top of the building, spider-man looked at you in awe.

"You did really well little arachnid." he chuckled looking out into the city. "Am I ever gonna know who you are?" you said pulling your mask off, "Nope but you can try and guess," he said in a flirt like tone voice. "well, you started, "If i can guess who you are," you started, "I wont tell you yes or no unless you are horrbly off, like, you can confirm your answer and if your right, you can take off my mask, but you have to kiss me too~" he cooed, poking fun at you. "deal, but i am not kissing you," you said with a hint of attitude, this night would be longer then you thought. "hold on, i have to call Miles that we can't hang out tonight," you said pulling out your phone, Spider-man then spoke up "okay, ill be right back, I gotta grab something if were gonna be here for a while," he said swinging off. You then called Miles, awaiting for him to pick up. "hey y/n, whats up, still on for tonight, i also have new news on the new spider person!" he said with excitement in his voice , "uh actually, i have to do something tonight, my uh, my mom wants me to help her tonight," you said, "oh! Ms.L/N? I can help too if you want," Miles said, "nonono! It's a personal project she just wants me over," you said, panicking.

Miles P.O.V
As Y/n was trying to explain i knew she was lying. She wasn't good at it anyways, but it was fun giving her a kinda hard time. Was she gonna find out im Spider-Man tonight, who knows.
