Sophia
After the way Justin treated me like I was responsible for his mistakes, I decided it was time for me to leave and go back to my apartment even though I already knew Zayn would be there waiting, with his excuses ready to spill out of his mouth.
As soon as I was back from work that afternoon I went straight to the bedroom I was living the past few days and started putting everything in my suitcase quickly before Justin would return home from wherever the hell he was. I made sure that I didn't leave anything behind and then took my belongings and walked outside where my drive was already waiting.
In just twenty minutes I was inside my building and waiting for the elevator to take me up to the fifteenth floor where my apartment was. The moment my feet stepped on the ground of our floor I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and I was praying that Zayn wasn't around. I unlocked the door and when I made sure no one was in the place I headed straight to the bedroom I used to share with my ex-fiancé.
"Great, I still have time." I murmured to myself when I saw that I had three more hours until he'd come back home from work.
I started taking all of Zayn's belongings along with the hangers from their place in our common closet and throwing in his countless backpacks and shopping bags of different boutiques. When everything was away I moved them out and left them in the hallway for him to find them then locked the bedroom door and stayed in there unpacking my things like everything was back to normal and I didn't just throw out all of my fiancé's belongings.
Once I was over and done with that I lied on my bed and felt the warmth of my soft luxury duvet all over me something that I missed like crazy, even though Justin had the softest sheets and duvets back at his place. In a matter of minutes, I fell asleep for I don't know how long until I heard someone pounding the door and calling my name.
"Sophie! Baby, open the door, please! Sophie!" Zayn shouted from the other side but I tried to ignore him by snuggling even more on my side of the bed far away from the door.
"Baby, please... I'm begging you, Soph, open the door. I need to see you, love." His voice was heard throughout the room.
After taking a big breath I left my bed and started pacing back and forth inside the room so much that I was sure that in any minute a hole would appear on the carpet. He was outside the door begging me and pounding the door, sometimes he was screaming then sometimes he was simply asking in the most polite way possible. It'd been over an hour when I couldn't take it anymore and his voice was starting to turn extremely raspy. Great, now he wanted to destroy his career too except our engagement.
I rushed to the door and after taking another big breath I unlocked and opened the door for him. He was a mess, seated on the floor cross-legged with his eyes red and puffy, his hair a total mess and everything on him looked just rough, I moved outside the room only for him to still sitting on the floor like a hurt animal. Why was I feeling sorry for him when he did so much to me? Probably because of my love for him that couldn't just stop in a few days.
"Zayn get off the floor, please." I murmured with my body on the edge of the door.
"Let me explain, please. Just let me do this and then you can decide what you want to do." He looked in my eyes and took my hand in his.
"That's not going to happen, you're sleeping in the guest room from now on and for as long as it takes me to find a new place. I don't want anything that has to do with you. I'm staying here because I paid the exact same amount of money as you to buy this place and I'm not going to just give it to you. You can leave anytime if you don't want to see me." I said and left headed downstairs.
