24. Happily ever after

Misaki's p.o.v

Ranmaru and I sat in front of everyone. We had just finished telling my brother, my manager and Saotome shinning our decision and plan. It was quiet in the room.

Too quiet.

"Well...will anyone say anything?" I asked.

They were quiet. Damn.

Even Saotome.

I don't think anyone has ever seen Saotome speechless.

"We will give up our careers if we have to." Ranmaru said. "I will give up on it if it means I will be with her."

I looked at him. "But you love music. You hate people who give up on music for love."

"I also can't make music anymore if you leave me."

I could feel tears at the corner of my eyes.

"I REFUSE!" Shining yelled. "I refuse to let you just walk away from your careers like that." Saotome raised his leg and stomped on the table pointing to the roof. "After all this agency is all above LOVE. How can we stand in the way of love."

"But what about the no dating rule." Manager asked.

"Well if they are even ready to get married and leave, then I can consider them seriously ."

I gasped and squeezed Ranmaru's hand. "He's going to let you marry me."

"While I appreciate you telling me you are ready to quit and do different jobs, the music world will be sad to see you go. So I AM OBLIGATED TO KEEP YOU AS LONG AS I CAN. I will get my people right on it the moment you want to get married. No one will take your careers away from you.  You are officially approved by SAOTOME SHINING and the world will know about it. ."

I turned towards Ranmaru . "You hear that? Saotome approved."

"Just wait a hot minute." Mamoru turned towards us. "And just what is this about marriage. You are too young." Brother complained.  "I will not allow marriage."

"You barely knew of my existence days ago." I complained.

"Let's not forget what marriage means. Living together, sleeping together..."

I covered his mouth. "It's still marriage."

"You said you'll live with me. I'm not letting you go." Mamoru took my hand and tugged me away from Ranmaru.

"I'm not stealing her." Ranmaru pulled me back. "I'm just marrying her."

"If you like her that much then you can wait few years. " Mamoru yanked me away.

"I don't want to waste time." Ranmaru wrapped his arms around me.

This was getting awkward and kind of annoying.

"Fine then if you love her as you claim you will come and live with us so I can assess you properly."  Mamoru yelled.

What?

"Fine." Ranmaru yelled out.

"Fine." Mamoru let me go finally and placed his hand out for a shake. "Everyone though gets separate rooms."

"Acceptable." Ranmaru shook his hand.

I raised my hands up . "Yay me I guess?"

Through the doors Starish burst in yelling out congratulations and running over for a hug. Guess there are some happy endings after all.

After the whole drama settled I found myself drooping on the couch in the lobby and staring at the ceiling. I just made my romantic life very public. Embarrassment flushed over me.
