12. Unexpected meeting

Misaki's p.o.v

I walked into the kitchen ready to make a delicious breakfast. I hummed my way to the fridge and pulled some stuff out on the table when i noticed Reiji leaned on the table smiling.

"Moring Maki." He gave me a warm smile.

"Morning." I smiled back. "Want to have breakfast with me?"

"Alright." He said and then helped me make breakfast.

"You seem in a good mood today."He said.

"I am." I said after pouring coffee in my mug.

"Does it have something to do with your late night date yesterday."

Oh no no no no..

I spilled coffee on purpose.

"Oh look what i did. I need to clean this up." I smiled politely ignoring him.

Panic started crawling in. Where did he see us? Was it in the house, was it while he was hugging me and we listened to music???Who else saw us? What excuse do I have?

I started wiping the table avoiding eye contact.

"I wanna know too." Ren walked in smiling. He took a seat next to Reiji.

"Know what?" I smiled with a plastered fake smile.

"Why you and Kurosaki came back together very late yesterday? Was it a secret love rendezvous?"

"Of course not you two gossip ladies." I smiled and turned around sighing in relief. If they only saw us when we came back i can make up any excuse.

"Then why did you come back late?"

First thing that came to my mind.

"Work."

"Hmmhm." Reiji sighed disappointed but Ren didn't seem to buy that easily.

"But still i think lately you two have been spending a large amount of time together." He added some coffee to his cup but he glanced at me as he was saying ~you won't get away easily.

"Why do you think that?"

"Normally he would sit in his room and play his bass, now he gets up early and comes back late. When ever me and Hijirikawa look for him he is with you."

Damn you Ren. Way too sharp.

"It's because we were working on a dance routine for a concert." I told a truth to throw him off.

"But i met your manager when he was leaving and he said is been canceled." Reiji added.

"Yap but we found out yesterday." I elaborated.

"But then what work could you and Kurosaki have together if your work is canceled." Ren asked with a fake innocence, taking a sip from his coffee. It might have been few long seconds of silence.

"Why are you so worried about my work?" I asked little angry.

"Now why would you get defensive Maki when i only ask with the most innocent intentions?"

He was smirking. Ren was actually making fun of me.

"Hey you can tell us you know. Are you dating?" Reiji asked leaning in.

"No."I felt my cheeks warm up.

"Could it be that you like him and went to confess?" Ren also leaned closer.
