Four days later...

Simon fell on his butt when he tried lifting the sack of cement. Hebrew's laugh rang through the air. Napatawa nalang rin ako.

Kanina pa sila nag-aasaran matapos mag walk out si Carol dahil pinagtulungan nila. Sometimes, I wonder if what Carol said was true. Simon doesn't act like how a woman by heart acts. Yes, he is soft for a man. There are sides of him that I can say is feminine and maybe that's what Carol sees in him.

"Nakakapikon ka na Hebrew." Ani Simon gamit ang seryoso nyang boses kaya sinubukang pigilan ni Hebrew ang kanyang tawa.

Pero sa huli ay humalakhak pa rin ito.

It's already seven o'clock in the morning. Sumikat na ang araw mula pa kanina. For the last two days, we have been busy putting the barbwires in top of the walls while Simon and Carol do their works in the backyard with Selena. Pinalibot namin ang barbwires sa kabuuan pero may ibang parte ang hindi nalagyan dahil kulang.

So we moved to plan B. We sharpen the metals that we took from where we get the cements and put it on top with a cement to hold it. And now, we finished it already. Makakampante na kami ng kaunti.

It's been two weeks already since the outbreak but the memories are still fresh in my mind. Horrifying scenes still hunts me at night. One time, Phoenix woke me up. I cried in his embrace before I went back to sleep.

Simula noong sa couch na ako natutulog ay palagi ng tumatambay doon si Phoenix. Isang rason lang ang lagi nyang sinasabi tuwing tinatanong ko sya, hindi daw sya makatulog. Most of the times, we talked about random things. Phoenix is older than me but it doesn't seem to matter when we talked about things.

Chase has learned a lot because of Phoenix. He can now do the stop and go. Phoenix never gets tired of Chase but he gets tired and irritated of Carol easily.

Sinasagot nya na ito ngayon tuwing tinatanong sya nito. Noong nakaraang araw ay tinanong ako ni Carol ng ilang bagay tungkol kay Phoenix. It's too obvious that she likes Phoenix. I answered some of them but not most them especially the question kung matutulungan ko ba syang mapasakanya si Phoenix.

Like what the hell. Ayokong magkaaway kami ni Selena at magalit si Phoenix sa akin. Carol is just so determined to get Phoenix to the point na nakikipagplastikan sya sa akin para lang matulungan ko sya. Most of the time ay sinusungitan nya ako, lalo na tuwing nag-uusap kami ni Phoenix.

Matapos ang araw na nagkita kami ng mga taga Camp Hawkins ay naging mas malapit na si Phoenix sa akin. Kung hindi kami nauuwi sa tawanan ay nauuwi kami sa away.

"Aide..." Phoenix called me kaya napalingon ako sa kanya.

He's with Chase at hindi ko alam kung anong ginagawa nya kanina dahil abala ako sa pagpapatuyo ng mga kahoy na pwede naming magamit sa pagluluto. We've been using charcoals in their dirty kitchen for the past days since we lost electricity. Hindi kami madalas magluto dahil hindi kami sigurado na walang makakaamoy sa mga niluluto namin.
