It's the next day and I'm feeling horrible and groggy. After last night with Malfoy I'm not up to going to classes.
As I remember it's a Saturday I sit up and rub my eyes. They are still swollen a little from crying and probably a bit red. I don't care though. I don't feel like leaving the dormitory anyway and I'm not bothered about anyone in Hufflepuff seeing me, because they've never payed attention to me before so why would they start now?
My plan of staying in my room all day is quickly interrupted by the pain in my stomach, followed by a low rumble and I realise I haven't eaten since yesterday, lunch.
I wasn't up for dinner after discovering what that note ment and especially not after my encounter with Malfoy. At least I can wear my own clothes to breakfast this morning and not my usual robes. I put on my black legging, a vest top and my white, over sized hoodie. I don't really feel like dressing up for breakfast considering my plans of nothingness for afterwards.

In the Grand Hall I scan the room to see the four house tables filled with breakfast foods. My eyes land on Issac and my gaze is drawn towards his hands, his nuckles are a deep grey with a few light grazes. Then I see Samuel sitting opposite him but they are still not really talking. Not directly to eachother anyway. But both are engaging in a conversation with a boy I recognise from the Gryffindor quidditch team.
I notice Jessie isn't with them, but then I remember shes probably already eaten and gone to the library. I think I'll join her after breakfast actually, to finish my potions work that's due this week. Then I'll go back to my room.
Issac and Samuel don't notice me.
I continue my scan around the hall and my eyes land on the horrible boy who had thrown the note at me, he's on the Slytherin table. His face was different though. There was a deep purple bruise under his eye and his nose was a little off center. Putting two and two together I internally kick myself for not making sure Issac didn't go after any of the boys. Not that I don't think they deserve a punishment - but because I don't want Issac getting into trouble.
Anyways, I just sit at my table. Alone as always. I grab a plate and fill it with three scotch pancakes and drown them in golden syrup.
The Hufflepuff table is the first on the left as soon as you walk through the Grand Hall doors. This means that when ever someone walks through them, I (because I'm on the end) gets hit with a big gush of wind and a loud bang when they fall shut.
I try to ignore it but when it happens for the fourth time I get a little annoyed. All I want to do is eat the rest of my pancakes. As I turn around to see the person who just walked through the door so I can glare at them, as if it would make a difference to any future disturbance, I'm met with a rather shocking sight.
It's Malfoy.
It's not rather pleasant to see him on a normal day. But now - like this - my breath is caught in my throat.
He walks through the doors with such anger on his face and it scares me a little. He turns his head slightly in my direction and it causes me to quickly look back to my pancakes so he doesn't see me staring at him.I sneak another look after he's gone past me. He always walks so fast - as if with a need to be somewhere. I rake my eyes down his body. He's wearing a blue and white flannel shirt and he must have a white t-shirt under it because it's open and blowing behind him a bit as he walks with such power. He's also wearing black skinny jeans and I almost laugh as I think 'they suit him better then me'.
Thats when I notice them. His hands. Balled up in fists. I can see cuts and
grazes along his nuckles and I cringe as they close and widen when he stretches out his fingers just to return them back into the position of a fist.
