I got my costume all ready. My makeup was done, my outfit was covered in fake blood. I looked like a read porcelain murderess doll. Jordan texted me "On my way."
I ran upstairs. Perfect timing. I hid behind the frount door. So I can pop out and scare him. He knocked on the door. I opened it up and jumped out. Screaming. But he wasn't there. I was about to take a step outside when he jumped out from around the corner. He was dressed as a scary clown. I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran to the kitchen leaving the door wide open. Almost falling on the way. I know the huge 'killer clown' thing in American ended a long time ago. But sense I was was 5 I've be absolutely, 100%, petrified of clowns. When I got to the kitchen I bassically dove headfirst to my mom's feet.
"Honey what's wrong!?" My mom said turning around. The kitchen had a perfect veiw of the frount door. I turned around and saw Jordan holding the clown mask in his hand with a scared look on his face. Not scared as if someone like jumped out at him. But fear as for why I just ran. My mom helped me up.
"There-there's a clown." I stuttered.
"Honey. It's just Jordan." My mom reassured me holding my shoulders. My mom waved for Jordan to come in. I heard the door shut and Jordan come in. I caught my breath and turned around. The clown mask was on the table.
"Hey. I didn't mean to scare you that bad." Jordan said in a concerned tone. I looked at him we both stood there until I said something.
"Coulrophobia." I said quietly. "I have Coulrophobia. I know you wouldn't had known this. But that's the reasoning for my action." I added.
"What's Coulrophobia?" He asked.
"Irrational fear of clowns. When I see a clown. I freak out. I either run or freeze up. I'm sorry." I said.
"Sorry, I-I didn't know." He said. He reached his hand out for me to come closer. But just the outfit made me make a squeaking noise and move closer to my mom. He looked down. "I'll be back. I'm gonna go home and put on the werewolf costume." He said grabbing the mask and leaving. I looked at my mom.
"I feel bad now." I said.
"Don't feel bad. It's not your fault. And it's not his fault. You're afraid of clowns. And he didn't know so he came dressed as one. Don't feel bad." My mom said. He came back wearing jeans, boots, a flannel shirt, and holding a giant werewolf head mask.
"Apologies." He said.
"No. It's not your fault. You didn't know." I said. I was much calmed down now.
"Your costume is amazing." He said. I nodded.
"Okay. So we each stay completely still somewhere in the yard. And whenever there's a group of little kids we jump out at them." I said.
It started to get dark and we headed out and got in our positions standing completely still. My house was decorated haunted af. A elementary schoolers and some kids with them from our high school walking with them came up. I was standing right by the door. And Jordan was right behind the bush where people couldn't see him. The kids from our school were staying by the driveway waiting for them to get back. Right by the bush. When they all went looking Jordan slowly and quietly walked behind one of the girls. He stood there as still as could be. He then slightly tapped on her shoulder. She turned around and saw a giant werewolf behind her. She screamed and ran to her boyfriend. By the look her boyfriend gave Jordan I knew things weren't gonna end well. Her boyfriend pushed her away and their friends in between him and Jordan out of the way too.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" He yelled at Jordan. But nobody knew it was him.
"Yo! It's Halloween! Get your panties out of a twist!" Jordan laughed. It took all my might to not laugh. Their friends pulled him away before he could punch him.
After all of that the night seemed to fly by. I scared a lot of kids. But Jordan scared more. It was all hilarious. By the time we went back inside it was already 10pm. He took off the mask was we got inside.
"Thank you for having me over. I haven't went outside my house on Halloween in a long time." Jordan said.
"You're welcome. It was hilarious how many people you scared. That one woman peed her pants." My mom laughed.
"Well. I think it's about time for me to go." Jordan yawned. He gave me a kiss on the cheek. "See you tomarrow at school. By Mrs. June! Have a good night!" He said walking out. I went to the bathroom and washed off my makeup and went strait to bed.
