Faith's POV
I couldn't even look at Jordan as he stared at my cuts. He got up from the table suddenly.
"I can't do this anymore. How am I supposed to get you to stop hurting yourself when every single little thing makes you want to cut? It puts a lot of damn pressure on me, trying to make sure you're not killing yourself every second. I'm done, goodbye, Faith."
With that, he walked away, leaving me stunned. Tears filled my eyes as I rushed out of the Chick-fil-a. I ran on the sidewalk until I reached a park. I sat on the bench and cried my eyes out, ignoring the looks I got from passing people. Once I had calmed down, I wiped my wet cheeks and started the long walk home.
I opened the door and quietly shut it as I walked into Tyler's house.
"Hey, Faith," Brendon said. "Did it go well?"
I nodded. "Yup," I said, trying to tell a convincing lie
"That's good. I was hoping that you would maybe want to help me with a new song idea?"
"Of course!" I said quickly.
He chuckled. "Alright let's go, I already told Tyler about it."
I got into his car and we drove the short distance to his house. I followed him to the studio in the back.
"Kenny is being put in prison for a long time," Brendon said suddenly.
I just nodded, not trusting my voice.
We worked on his new song for the majority of two hours. As I reached for the bass that was hanging on the wall, my sleeve rolled up, exposing my cuts and scars. I quickly pulled it back down and looked back at Brendon with a worried face. Hopefully, I was quick enough and he didn't see. But the angry look on his face told me differently. He snatched my arm and held it tightly as he rolled up my sleeve.
"Brendon..."
"What the hell, Faith!"
I sucked in a deep breath and stepped back.
"I'm sorry, Brendon," I whispered, scared.
This is what I was afraid of. Someone close to me finding out and hating me for cutting.
"How long?" He said
"Err, um."
"How long!" He said a lot louder.
"About 4 years," I answered quietly.
He took a deep breath before pulling me into a tight hug.
"Who else knows?"
"Tyler and Jordan," I paused. "Do you think we could go talk to Tyler, Josh, and um Jordan. I think I'm ready to tell you the rest of what those two men did to me."
"Of course."
And so we sat at Tyler's table, everyone looking at me, except Jordan, who couldn't seem to meet my eye. I took a deep breath.
"It happened right after they knocked Ryan out after he tried to stop them. They came into the little room I was being kept in, and they, they...raped me." I saw everyone visibly stiffen. "And then they took me again and brought me to that hotel. They didn't rape me there, but they did touch me. And it was horrible, I was so alone," I said, choking on a sob.
Everyone besides Jordan, who sat there looking furious, got up and hugged me.
"Can y'all just work it out and get together," I suddenly heard Josh say after a few moments of silence.
Immediately Jordan and I locked eyes as we both blushed.
"Bye, bye," Tyler said as he led everyone out of the living room, leaving Jordan and me alone, sitting at opposite ends of the table.
"I'm sorry," Jordan and I said at the same time.
I smiled a bit and looked down. Jordan and I got out of our seats at the same time and walked close to each other.
"No, I shouldn't have been that petty. Of course you didn't think of us as a couple, I haven't even asked you," Jordan said.
"I shouldn't have said that though. We had already kissed, we might as well be dating."
"So, does that mean you want to date?"
"Yeah, I guess it does."
"Well then, Faith Joseph, would you like to be my girlfriend?"
"I would love to," I smiled before leaning in to kiss Jordan.
We pulled away when we suddenly heard cheers and looked to see everyone with their heads peeking out, spying on us.
"Really guys?" I asked, shaking my head and laughing.
