Dad still kept looking at me while I stared on the floor, tears blurring my vision. I had no idea why he was doing this but I didn't want it to be fake. I didn't want to him to raise my hopes and shatter it. I looked at my dad and he had a worried expression on his face.

I tried on a big happy smiley face and after severely convincing my dad that I was fine, I headed back to my room pretending I was not affected by the news.

"What's the plan my parents have for me now?" I said speaking to no one in particular . I was probably looking like a weirdo now but I was half perplexed on their sudden change of heart. It had not be only because I was a full brat or they were merely concerned about my education. Not that they really passionately cared.

The school I wished to attend was not in the country. It was outside every borders that said African land. So, my parents were not all happy that I wanted to forget my nation in pursuit of better knowledge.

They didn't say it in my face but I guessed that was all the deal was about. So I forget about my treat and focused on no 2. reality.

What happened to the ever devoted Patriots?

Was their daughter's love more withstanding to forget nation's love?

Ehnn. I guess I would never get the chance to ask them that. I smiled cheekily.

I had been abroad twice. Once on a family occassion  to Canada for my uncle's wedding and the latter when I was in my mother's stomache.

Yes, that also counts as travelling to me which would lead to a perfect face palming moment for Folake.
Though she wasn't in my bed making me laugh with her silly humor. I was all alone in the room with my blanket as a sort of comfort and the ceiling a distraction from my thoughts.

I had already began to enjoy my school  now minus history class and foreign languages. And my parents were probably thinking am being a brat for not fulfilling my wishes what I would now refer to as ages ago.

This is like my own plan going against me.

I had already started feeling the slimy feeling in my stomache which drained my good mood and turned me into and emotional wreck. ¤¤>°☆☆

I grabbed the blanket tighter and closer to my chest. Shutting my eyes and praying to doze off and have a dreamless night.

"STOP chewing like you've never eaten chips for breakfast, you self deprived monkey!" A familiar voice grunted.

I didn't look up because I believe I was hardly provoked. It was me who did that to people

The morning insults was met with my daily snubs and ignorance to whoever was throwing shades at me be it any siblings younger or older I am paired with.

I continued doing my thing and my noises were even music to my ears. I couldn't get enough of it.

I decided to leave the room and get to school until m my mom whistled at me distracting me from my own mind.

"Mom, I am heading to school and I promise to not be a brat and listen to all my lessons, tell my principal I had been sorry for my present behaviour and stay away from Folake in classes to avoid distracting her in class." I mumbled the words like they weren't mine.

I heard Tammy scoff, I gave him a tired look I wasn't ready for his ass.

My mom sighed and nodded at my brother.

I did not understand their exchange.

"You would be quitting school at the end of the week, go to school and continue staying at Art class."

I quirked an eyebrow.

"But the principal-

"He knows, just go to school and be stable."

Stable?

"What's up with you and your parents?"

"Are you still changing classes...you know that would be really sad because I wouldn't even get to see you break time...

"Why?" I interrupted her blabbing

"Because I am dating Tunde now." She said happily, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

"When did you even like him??"

"Since you started zoning out of our conversations!" She shot back.

I guess she was shocked at her harsh tone she touched my arm and sighed. Her pale face shining at me.

"Look Gina, you got to bring your ass back out of wherever you hid it, okay?"

I smiled and the bell rang and we walked hand in hand to our class.
