CHAPTER NINE

"I'M a what!" Sicheng yells, slamming his hands on the table.

"An angel." Doyoung says calmly.

"I can't be— I— I thought I was a mortal!" Sicheng says bewildered.

"Yes well, I guess your boyfriend had other plans." Doyoung explains.

"What do you mean?" Sicheng asks with a confused face.

"Well, considering your boyfriend is a demon, it shouldn't make any sense. However, you and your boyfriend just seemed to be so deeply in love that the hell and heaven gods guessed it would be best if you were complete opposites so that you could stay in love forever." Doyoung says in one breath, and takes a deep inhale afterwards. "So yes that is how."

Sicheng stares at him in confusion, not a single understanding in the situation. He gives a frustrated sigh and puts his hands to his temples, massaging them.

"So lemme get this straight. I'm a angel, and Yuta's a demon. There's nothing we can do about it?" Sicheng raises his eyebrows.

"Exactly." Doyoung says with a smile.

"I think I'm gonna pass out." Sicheng whispers, and leans onto the table.

"Well there's no time for that, go be happy with your boyfriend for now. You both should be clear from the government for now, just keep under cover and no problems." Doyoung says, crossing his arms and leaning back.

Sicheng stares at the table, and Doyoung gives a sigh. He then stands up as well, and rest a hand on his shoulder.

"There's no turning back Sicheng, live with it. Plus, you and Yuta can be happy now. No more worries right? Just live your best life for now, stop worrying." Doyoung comforts. "Live for the fun of it!"

Sicheng looks up and meets eyes with the other, and a small smile finds itself to his lips.

"Thank you Doyoung."

"So, new life, new house, new everything right?" Yuta says, putting the last box into their new place.

"Yep, a new chapter." Sicheng says happily, and looks out the large window in front of him.

They have moved, far away from the chaos that happened back home. They decided to leave it, leave the past behind them, and just live in the moment now. They're still in contact with everyone, but they shall stay off the maps for now.

A sudden back hug makes Sicheng jumps, but a soft whisper calms him.

"It's just me." Yuta whispers, resting his head on the others shoulder.

Sicheng leans back into the hug, and it tightens around his small middle.

"Do you think we're gonna regret our decision?" Yuta asks.

"No." Sicheng says assured. "This was for the best."

Yuta agrees with a hum, and gives a sigh afterwards.
