Ember felt two hands gently resting on her shoulders, shaking her lightly as a voice called out; "Emberson, wake up. Ember, come on, we've got to find out what happened."

"Just five more minutes," Ember murmured, her brain pounding against her skull. It was probably when she knocked her head against the console.

"You got to stay awake, Em, we don't know if you have a concussion." Shiro grunted in pain as Ember's eyes fluttered open slowly.

Everything around her was blurry for a good minute before her vision cleared. "Shiro," Ember murmured, eyes going to the side he was holding. "You're injured. . .Let me just-"

"You need to stay down just for a little bit," Shiro demanded, flinching as he went to stand. "I'll find the mini kit,"

While Shiro went to find the kit - Ember glanced around at where she laid. She wasn't far from the pilot chair. She was actually to the left of it, next to a console where she most likely hit her head. It throbbed at the reminder.

"Here it is," Shiro handed it to Ember. "Just finish wrapping it up, that's all we can do for the moment,"

Ember grunted in disagreement but nonetheless finished wrapping the wound. When she tied it off, Shiro got to his feet and helped Ember up. The world tilted for a bit before the two of them started to make there way out of the Black Lion.

"Keith, are you there? Keith?" Shiro asked through coms, Ember wincing at the feedback. "We've got to get to higher ground,"

"We're not going to make it to higher ground as  easily as you just said," Ember pointed out. "You're still clutching your wound and I'm still a bit. . .dizzy."

"It's the only chance we have to get in contact with Keith," Shiro countered, starting to make his way down the lion.

"Something doesn't feel right," Ember muttered, looking around the area before following her leader. It took them a while to actually get to high ground, Ember kept stumbling and Shiro kept flinching to a stop.

But what else could they do but walk higher up?

When they were at least even with the Black Lions' wing, Shiro stopped walking and looked up at the top of the cavern. "Keith. I'm here. Keith." Shiro suddenly groaned, crashing into the rocks and sliding down. "Keith. Keith, I'm here. I'm okay."

"Bullshit," Ember hissed, crouching down next to him. "You are far from okay!"

"Yeah," Shiro chuckled. "Ember's here too." There was another pause before Shiro looked down at his wound. It glowed purple underneath the white bandages, but Ember really couldn't tell what was wrong. Magic wasn't her strong suite, at all.

"It takes more than a glowing alien wound, a fall from the upper atmosphere, crashing into a hard pan surface at what I'm guessing is about twenty-five meters per second squared, and Ember's constant nagging, to get rid of me."

"My nagging will save your life one day," Ember shot back. "Watch it." She suddenly leaned in close. "Wait, Keith, how are you?! Are you hurt?"

"He says he's physically fine, but his lion's busted." Shiro communicated before responding to Keith. "It's nothing."

Ember closed her eyes in frustration as Shiro groaned again in pain. "Why can't I do anything?!"

"Don't beat yourself up," Shiro started, stopping abruptly at the sound of growling. Ember's eyes snapped open.

   "Did you. . .?"

   "Yeah. . ."

The two paladins turned towards the Black Lion, where the growling was coming from, and paused at the sight.
