Sorry for not updating. Omg, I messed up. So remember George Wu? Yeah, he's in this fanfic. (You should know that already). But I forgot that I made Four's step-dad's name is George. So Four's step-dad's name is now Joe. Okay? Okay. On with the chapter....

Tris

"George!" I say.

"Tris!" he says and gives me a hug. "How are you?"

"I'm fine, you?"

"Same, thank you. I heard about what happened to your sister."

"How?"

"I know your mom. We work together."

"Oh, cool."

He smiles at me and leaves.

Four

It's lunch right now and as usual, Tris isn't here. In fact, I'm the only one eating at the picnic bench. Chris, Mar, and Shauna are all at cheer practice, Lynn is arguing with the gym teacher because she wants a girls football team, and the guys are at football practice.

I could see Tris in the distance at the elementary school. She's talking to one of the teachers. She wears sweats, a tank top, and a cardigan. Her hair doesn't seem washed and her shoulders hang low.

"Hey, dude." Zeke says as him and Uriah stand on either side of me.

"Hey," I say.

"You know, you can't keep on staring at her, she'll notice sooner or later." Uri says.

"I just want ot talk to her. I want to hold her. But she hates me,"

"She needs a friend. She doesn't need a boyfriend right now, a friend would be nice. She's in a really dark place right now and she needs a shoulder to cry on. Just try to be her friend right now, and maybe your friendship will grow but for now, friends is the only thing." Zeke says.

"And no friends with benefits!" Uri reminds me.

"I know. But how can I be her friend if she hates me?"

"She loved you."

"Exactly. Pass tense."

"And I bet she still loves you. You guys still have a chance."

OKay...

I lay in bed, thinking about her. In the distance I can hear her playing her piano in her room. She plays with so much force, telling me that she's either really mad or really angry. I've learned how to read her.

I get out of bed and I put on a t-shirt. I look out my window. She messes up and screams in frustration. Her body starts to shake and she breaks down in sobs. She falls off the piano bench and hugs her knees.

I quickly open my window and climb onto the tree. In one big leap, I'm in her room. Thank god, she didn't close her window. She doesn't notice me. I bend down beside her and wrap my arms areound her. She throws herself into me. It's nice to have her in my arms. It makes me feel like I'm doing something for her.

When she calms down, she looks at me. Her hair is messy and her eyes are red. Even with her running mascara, she still looks beautiful. I take a tissue from her night stand and wipe her makeup off. I throw the tissue away.

"Thank you," she says. Her voice is quiet and raspy.

"You don't need to thank me." I say.

We stay quiet for a while until I say, "What's wrong?"
