"Mr Ferguson, you're free to go." An officer says opening the door to my cell. I stand up from the cot and follow him to the front desk. They hand me a bag with my personal belongings
"Turns out the fingerprints weren't yours, apologies for the mix up." The Officer says and I just nod as I turn to leave. I walk down the front steps and see Ice sitting on his motorcycle
"If you're here to give me a ride home don't think I'm riding bitch on your bike." I smirk
"I'm waiting for Natalie." He replies
"But they've released me without charge, she should be out." I say confused. I turn and rush back to the front desk
"Where's Natalie Atkins?" I ask, Ice coming up beside me
"Detective Ricci gave her a ride home an hour ago." The Officer replies Ice pulls out his cell and calls Killer, after a few seconds he shakes his head
"Call Avery, see if he took her to her place." I say and he nods as he ends the call and dials Avery
"She's not there either." He sighs
"Well fuck, looks like I'm riding bitch." I say as we rush out to Ices motorcycle. Ice speeds to my house and I jump off his bike running to the front door. I find the hidden key and open it.
"She's not here." I sigh as I look around the empty house, where the fuck is she? Did they release her and she ran? Does she not want me anymore? No, the way she acted when she saw me at the station she cares about me, she didn't run.
"I'll call it in while you get your shit." Ice says as he steps outside. I quickly change my clothes and slip on my cut before grabbing my keys, cell and cigarettes.
"Circuits hacking the police database, he's sure all vehicles have trackers." Ice says as I step out of the house
"Let's get to the clubhouse and figure this out." He adds as I mount my motorcycle. We arrive back at the clubhouse and Ice follows me to Circuits office.
"I'm working on it." Circuit says without looking up from his computer
"Me too." Skye calls from behind him.
"I knew it." Skye says as she turns her wheelchair to face me
"I hacked into Ricci's bank accounts, he has five grand a month deposited into his account. I tracked it through a made up company. He's on Vinces payroll." Skye explains.
"So this whole thing was a set up to get me out of the way so he could get to Natalie." I reply, fuck.
"Why didn't he just take her last night, right after you were arrested?" Ice asks
"Probably because he knew she'd fight." Circuit says.
"I found Ricci's car, it's been found by the edge of town with Ricci dead in the drivers seat." Circuit says
"Natalie?" I ask
"No sign of her." He replies shaking his head.
"Fuck." I curse
"I'm calling church right now." Killer says walking out of his office
"I would say we should celebrate you getting out, but it'll have to wait." He says patting me on the shoulder.
"We all know Vince, he's worked this area for years, we've never crossed paths and we've never had a problem until now." Killer says as we sit in church. Man I feel fucking useless we should be out there looking for her, what if Vince already has her? What if he's hurting her? This feels just like that night eight years ago. When I knew Evie should've been home from work and she wasn't. What she was going through while I was driving around looking for her, what's happening to Natalie right now?
"We all thought Socket was arrested for the murders, but he was set up to look like he was involved in an armed robbery. They took Natalie in for questioning and now she is missing." Killer explains
"What does Natalie have to do with Vince?" Knuckles asks
"Natalie's Mom borrowed money from Vince, when she didn't pay him he went to Natalie's house, smacked her around and she promised to pay. Vince wants Natalie and now he's taken her." Killer explains.
"Shit, so all this mess with Socket was just to get to Natalie?" Reaper asks
"It's looking that way. We need to figure out where he took her, what properties he's got, his hideouts." Killer replies
"I'm on it." Circuit says not looking up from his laptop.
A few hours later and we have no leads. We figured out four places he could be and went to check them out to find them empty. I'm starting to feel like we aren't going to save her and I'm going to get a call that she's in the hospital or dead. I should've protected her better, I let her down.
"What about where Ricci's car was found? What's around there? Where was he taking her?" Killer asks as we look at a map of the town.
"He was driving away from town, there's the abandoned warehouse to the east of there." Bullet says
"I'll do a drive by." Ice says as he picks up the keys to a truck. My cell buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out to see a voicemail from an unknown number
"Hang on." I say as I play the message
"Kit, I don't know how long I have, I'm in room 207 at the motel, I can't get out, there's too many of them. Please be careful I don't want you hurt. I....."
"Hey what are you..." I hear a thud and then the message ends.
"Fuck!" I roar as my cell slams into the wall. How badly is she hurt?
"Why didn't we think of the fucking motel, he's been using it for years." Ice sighs
"We know where she is, we know she has men watching her, lets load up and go get her." Killer says as we all leave church and head to the armoury. Luckily the motel is on the outskirts of town and the only thing nearby is a rundown bar which won't be open until this evening. So our best bet is to act now before customers start showing.
