"Wow, everything looks fantastic." Cordelia smiles as she looks over the lot. Today is the gender reveal party for Imelda and Ice. The girls all pitched in to help out, because even though I'm feeling better, my ribs weren't too happy about hanging the lights above us. Everything is pink and blue, I'm the only one that knows the gender so that I could plan the reveal. I've got balloons, banners, fairy lights and food all pink and blue.
"Its done." Bullet says as he walks up to me. I had several ideas on how to reveal, the cake, a balloon or a confetti cannon, but the best way to do a gender reveal with a family of bikers? I've had Bullet fit a filter on the exhaust of Ices motorcycle that will blow either pink or blue smoke.
"Thank you." I smile. Everyone has to wear either blue or pink for their guess at the gender but I've gone for a neutral dress because everyone knows I know and I don't want to give away spoilers. Most of the guys are wearing blue shirts and the girls are half pink half blue.
"Well isn't this the hottest thing I've ever seen." I turn to see Kit walking towards me. I got my property cut last night so today is the first day I'm wearing it
"Property of Socket, Damn right you're mine." He growls playfully as he wraps his arms around my waist and I giggle. He's been so good to me this last week, we've spent every night at the clubhouse curled up in bed together, Cordelia said Vinces blood tests all came back clear, so that helped me relax a little, but I haven't had sex with Kit since, although I plan to soon. I don't know why it feels like this huge thing, Kit and I have had so much sex, in every position and place you can think of, I need to get back on the horse, literally.
"You need help with anything?" He asks as he looks over my shoulder at the food I was setting up
"No, I think we're done, Ice and Immy should be here any minute." I smile.
"I love you Nat." He smiles
"I love you Kit." I reply
"I love hearing that." He says as we walk towards the clubhouse.
The party is in full swing, kids running around, music playing and drinks flowing. Imelda's parents came and I can't help but chuckle at how uncomfortable Mrs Vasquez looks, but I'm kinda surprised she actually showed up at all, maybe she's getting used to our crazy biker family.
"Can we do it yet? Come on I need to know." Ice begs me as I giggle, he's so excited, it's the cutest thing I've ever seen.
"Ok fine, have at it." I laugh as he runs off to his motorcycle, I make my way over to the sound system and turn the music off
"Who's ready to find out if it's pink or blue!?" I call as everyone turns towards me. Imelda stands beside me with her parents and sister as everyone lines up on one side ready for Ice to ride through. I hear him start his engine and then he comes speeding through the lot, stops, revs his engine and boom, the smoke billows
"I knew it!" Imelda jumps up and down in her blue maxi dress as blue smoke billows around us
"I'm having a boy!" Ice yells as he jumps off his motorcycle and runs to Imelda, lifting her up and spinning around.
"Are you disappointed? I know you wanted a girl." Imelda asks as he sets her on her feet
"Well maybe the next one will be a girl." He shrugs
"Next one? How many kids are we having?" Imelda laughs
"I dunno, six sounds like a good number." Ice smiles as Imelda turns pale
"Wha... six? Some one talk to this man." Imelda says as I laugh
"Ice Ice baby machine." I laugh as I pat him on the shoulder.
Imelda's parents have left and the family friendly party has turned into a full swing biker party, Imelda looks tired but she said she wants to enjoy the party. I haven't seen Kit for a while as I scan the crowd trying to find him. Then I see him, talking to his sister, fuck I love that man. I could kick myself for all the time I wasted pushing him away, but I'm not doing that anymore. He whispers something in Evie's ear then begins making his way towards me.
I don't realise the music has stopped until he's standing in front of me and Imelda is to my left
"Natalie..."
"What's going on?" I ask as I look from Kit to Imelda and then Evie, who both have tears in their eyes
"It has taken way too fucking long to get here, but I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He pulls something from his pocket before dropping down onto one knee
"You're already my old lady, but I want you to be my wife. Natalie, will you marry me?" Wow, old me has already said no and is running for the nearest exit. But I'm not her anymore and I love Kit and this whole family
"Yes." I smile and squeal as Kit jumps at me, wraps his arms around me and lifts me up. Everyone cheers and applauds as he puts me down, slipping the diamond ring onto my finger. Evie and Imelda charge at us
"Finally!" Imelda says as she pulls me into a hug
"You knew he was going to propose didn't you?" I smile as she releases me
"Girl, I helped him pick the ring." She smirks
"And I told him it was about damn time he made you my sister." Evie says as she let's go of Kit and hugs me
"Welcome to the family. You and Socket have to come to family dinner tomorrow night." She smiles as she lets me go.
"Can I get near my fiancée now?" Kit asks as he slips around Evie
"Fiancée, I like the sound of that." I smile as I wrap my arms around his shoulders
"I like the sound of Mrs Ferguson even more." He replies, his arms around my waist.
