Paintball (Part 1)

~YOONJI'S POV~

"Ughh!! " I groaned after falling because I tripped over a rock.

"Shhh Yoonji. You're gonna get us caught. " Yoongi whispered.

"Sorry... " I apologized. Yoongi looked behind me and saw a gun in the bushes aimed towards me.The person was just about to pull the trigger.

*gunshots*

"Watch out!!! " Yoongi shouted and pushed me aside. I was safe but I felt something wet at Yoongi's shoulder and saw red liquid.

"Yoongi!!! " I shouted with a suprised and worried tone. Then, we both heard another gunshot behind us and I got hit. It was game over for us.

"When will you kids ever learn your lesson? " a voice said behind us and we faced the direction of the voice but we didn't need to see her face to know who she was.

"Uh... Hi mom." I said as soon as I saw her.

She then held her gun and pointed to me and my brother. She was just about to pull the trigger and shoot us. Yoongi and I both closed our eyes waiting for the impact. We heard a gunshot and opened our eyes but was suprised that we didn't get shot. I then looked back at my mom who was currently pointing her gun towards a tree not far from us where I heard someone groaned in pain.

"Alright alright you got me." said the person behind the tree.

"I tried baiting you out and it worked didn't it?" my mom said raising an eyebrow.

The figure behind the tree soon revealed himself and walked towards us.

"I just can't win against you can't I honey? " the person(who was my dad) said.

"You were just as careless as our kids which is why you'll never win against me. " mom proudly stated.

"One day.. Mark my words one day I will win. " answered dad. He then faced me and Yoongi.

"Okay it's  time for your assessment for today. First of all,Yoongi you need to stop helping you're little sister or she'll never learn how to defend herself. Now look you got shot trying to ptotect her. This may just be paintball but in a real mission you need to put yourself first before others or you'll end up losing the battle. " dad lectured Yoongi.

Yoongi had his head down unable to look straight at dad cause of the embarrassment. Well I can't blame him dad was our idol, our inspiration and our mentor. We both look up to him.

"And Yoonji,you need to be aware more of your surroundings. You can't just rely on your brother to help defend you. You keep repeating the same mistake over and over agian. You need to be more independent. You're 10 years old now. Yoongi won't always be there to protect you. No one can help you but yourself." mom continued dad's remark.

I felt guilty at the fact that we lost because of me. Mom was right. I need to learn to protect myself. I swear to myself from this day that I'll practice more harder to be skilled just like my parents.

A week later...

~AUTHOR'S POV~

It was 12a.m. but Yoonji was still practicing missions in a simulator that was in the training room of her house. The simulator was invented by her mom, Kim Namsoon. The simulator was created when her parents had to go for a long trip for a 2 weeks starting next week so Namsoon built the simulator a few days ago for Yoonji and Yoongi to practice in the period of they're absence.

Yoonji lost on the mission and stopped using the simulator to find something to release her anger on. She went to the punching bag in the room and starts kicking and punching it. She would always do that whenever she's pissed.
