Alessi slowly began to walk with her new prosthetic leg. It felt the same, but so different. It resembled and felt like a leg, sure, but it didn't feel like her own. She compared it to life and told herself to stop being so emo.

The nurse that had brought her to surgery pointed to the room where her friends were waiting. She walked towards it, and turned the metal doorknob.

She stepped in, and her heart almost broke seeing all her friends sitting up in their hospital beds, IV's attached to their arms.

"Look who's back," Alena chuckled. Her journal was in her hands, with her pen beside her bed. Alessi recognized it as Juliane's pen. She didn't say anything.

She flopped onto her own bed and looked out the window. Then at her prosthetic leg. She imagined going outside with it. She turned to her left side and found Caroline drawing in her sketchbook.

"What are you drawing?"

"Us. Team Invictus."

"Can I see?"

"I can't get up. If you want to see, then you come here."

Alessi stood up and peered over. It was a drawing of Team Invictus, including Juliane. Everyone was smiling, in the schoolyard.

Alessi returned to her bed.

After a moment of silence, Caroline spoke.

"We always were Team Invictus. We just had different names for it," Caroline whispered. "We were always the group of misfits. The weirdos, the dreamers, the outsiders. And oh, it was so perfect."

"Can I do what you guys call 'letting loose?'" Alessi asked, with tears filling her eyes at Caroline's words.

"You mean cry? Sure." Alessi immediately broke into a sob, with her head shoved into the pillow.

"Alena?" the nurse said, peering in. "Please come with me for personal treatment."

"Why?" Alena asked.

"Everyone needs to come for personal examination one at a time. Just do it."

"Sponsored by N-"

"NOW."

She stood up and shuffled out the door, following after the nurse.

A different nurse came in. "Can I get Caroline for personal examination?" he said. Caroline shrugged and followed. "After Alena is back, we will take Kalera."

They went out the door, barely lifting their feet up as they walked.

Hours later, Alena and Caroline returned.

"Apparently I fractured my wrist and broke my nose as well, and cracked my skull," Caroline stated, throwing herself into bed. "Now I have to wear these." She pointed to the casts on her nose, head, and wrist. "Oh, I'm internally bleeding too. I have a surgery that's soon to be scheduled if it doesn't stop. Life is amazing, isn't it?"

Alena groaned, burying her face in her pillow. "EHHHHHHHHHHHH..."

"What happened to you?" Kalera asked, getting up for her examination.

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh..."

"Sure." Kalera exited with the nurse.

"I think I died." Alena complained.

"No, you didn't. Kalera did," Alessi responded from her pillow.

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... "

Kalera came back in a few hours later. "Guess who has a collapsed lung and a cracked collarbone?
