This is for a friend of mine, No I haven't forgotten about those of you I owe a chapter this was just something special I needed to do otherwise a certain someone might have killed me tomorrow.

Eric's Point of view by the way!

I held Samantha's hands as I led her to a fire escape outside her apartment. She was currently blindfolded and following me to a lovely little picnic she didn't know about. I quickly checked to see that she had a warm enough jacket before we left the house. It was New Years Eve and we were on a rooftop near Times Square.

Her blonde hair whipped around in the wind that cut through my coat. I used my body to block the wind from her. I knew it wouldn't be as windy up where we were going to sit.

I led her to the edge of the building slowly and helped her sit.

"I'm glad you didn't drop me in the snow Eric."

"What kind of gentleman would do that to such a beautiful lady such as yourself Snow Kitten?"

"Fair point Teddy Bear."

She smiled as I removed the blindfold from around her head. Her eyes widened at the sight of how high we were. She slid over closer for warmth and protection from the edge of the building. I wasn't entirely comfortable up here but I was trying to be romantic about what i had planned for tonight.

It was about 11:45pm and everyone was gathered in Times Square below us listening to music from the year we were leaving behind as we all prepared for the new year.

Samantha sang along to the songs we knew and laughed when one of us messed up a lyric. I grabbed a thermos of Hot Cocoa from behind us and handed it to her to keep her hands warm.

I wrapped a thick blanket around us making a giant human cocoon. She was focused on the music flowing from the Square and had her eyes closed as she was humming along. I took the opportunity to stare openly at her beautiful face. It wasn't flawless but it was perfect to me. I knew she didn;t quite see it but I planned on helping her with that.

I saw a small snowflake land on the tip of her nose. She must have felt it because she opened her eyes and said, "It's snowing, I'm on an amazing date on a roftop in Times Square, It's New Years. Can this day get any better.

I smiled and wrapped her in a hug whispering in her ear, "You ready Snow Kitten?"

10! Shouts the crowd below us

"Ready for what?"

"Does it matter?"

"If you're gonna push me it does."

"No I had a much better idea."

"Ohh? And what would that be?"

"Well that depends."

4!!!

"On What?"

3!!!!!

"Do you mind if...."

2!!!!!

"If What!!!???"

1!!!!!!!!!!

I leaned in slowly and placed my lips on hers. She was suprised at first but then her lips began to move against mine. We broke apart slightly resting our foreheads together.

"Happy New Years Snow Kitten."

"I love you too Teddy bear."
