"These are delicious, I swear Mel." I exclaimed breathlessly as I ate another one of her pumpkin spice cookies that seemed to have little white chocolates.

"I'm tellin' ya, Grams had the best recipes." She quirked and finished off her glass of milk. Melody's grandmother raised her and took her in when her parents abandoned her. Her grandma was her everything, she lives back home and Melody makes time to visit her five times out of the month, it is after all her only worry. If something were to happen to her grandmother, she'd never be the same again.

As she set her glass down, she began to speak. "So since I'm still dragging you off to the mall I think we should get going. The guys said they want to meet us at a eatery in the mall then go see Annabelle." Her and I smirked at the same time and both started to laugh. Mel, which is my new nickname for her, and I have so much in common. It's odd in a way but hey, maybe it's a new beginning to a new friendship? Best friendship it seems. A pang of hurt and anger flashed towards me once again for the second time today. It was my boys' fault I'm like this. They took something from me that I won't ever get back; my life.

I cleared my throat trying to hold down the vile that was starting to build up and smiled softly, "That sounds great." I looked down at my hands and watched as they turned a white color and became numb; I was clenching my fists. I took a deep breath then let it out. I can't keep getting angry, I love all five of those boys. They were my everything at one point and now I couldn't even tell you if I ever wanted to see them again.

I'll never be able to grow old with someone, I'll never be able to have children, I'll never be able to have a career.

All of these negative thoughts started filling up in my troubled mind making me sigh in exasperation. Melody hopped off the table and motioned for me to follow her. Her little vintage style reminded me of myself. I always wanted to wear cute vintage clothes and decorate my house with older things but it never came. although I'm sure I now have eternities to accomplish that goal, I mean it's not like my life is just wasting away.

We arrived in her room and she opened her closet doors. Her closet was like it was its own room. Two big doors that opened, the smell in her closet consisted of many vanillas and honeysuckle smells that made your stomach growl in desperation.

"Here ya go, wear anything you want and there's a bathroom in here too if you wanna take a shower. If you do, there's extra shavers under the sink." She smiled and headed towards the door. "I'll be out in the garden. The garden is back behind the house, just come back there when you're finished." She beamed and closed the door leaving me alone in her room. I sighed and started looking through her clothes.

I ended up with a pair of black and white shorts that had a diamond print on them, a white crop top and a green jacket. I picked out a pair of tan combat boots and drug my stuff over to the bathroom. Melody's house is very small however, there's an attic and a basement. The basement is where her second living room is and the guest bedroom. It's quite odd to imagine this small place having two living rooms but the living room that's upstairs is a little small and connects to the kitchen that isn't very big either. In the kitchen there's a door that leads down to the basement so you don't have to go outside and open those little doors you know? The attic is used as a storage place basically.

I turned the warm water on and set my clothes on the counter next to her sterling silver sink. I bent down and opened the cabinet doors under the sink and instantly found the pack of razors. Smiling slightly, I grabbed one and undressed. While stepping into the shower, I set the razor down and let the warm water wash away the impurities that I've come across in the past seventy-two hours. It's been a living hell honestly. The numbing of the warm water felt so good considering it was the only thing that actually felt real. I haven't felt something real in so long. I haven't felt something real as in back when I was home with Mikey and my parents. My mind then wondered back to Panther. My baby boy, he was the only part of home I had left. He was the only thing I had that reminded me of what life was like alive.
