chp. 21

*the next day* (May 16)

Aiden's Pov:

I got dressed in my white dress shirt, black dress pants, and black suit jacket, having Carter tie my tie. As I brushed my hair, Carter got dressed in her short-sleeve black dress, since we were going to Corey's funeral today. I grabbed my wallet and keys off of the counter, handing the keys to Carter. We walked out to my garage, getting into my car. Carter backed out of my garage, driving to the graveyard that his family was burying him at.

*at graveyard*

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today for the burial of Corey David Francisco. He is survived by his parents and brother Kevin," the preacher said.

*10 minutes later*

Corey's dad and brother carried his casket to the spot in the ground. Each of us scooped dirt with the shovel, putting it on top of his casket. By the time I left with Carter, I was in full on tears. Carter wiped my eyes with a tissue from her purse, before giving me a big hug and kiss.

Richard's Pov:

I sat in my car in the parking lot of my business as it poured down raining. As the rain slowed down a bit, I got out of my car, running into the building. I went upstairs to my office, looking through my paperwork, before my meeting.

Joseph's Pov:

It was currently pouring down rain as I stood in the garage at work. I walked into the main building, going to the locker room to get my stuff to go home since my shifts over. I ran to my car, getting soaked by the rain as I got in. I drove home, where Megan was sitting on the couch with Sydney, who was looking out the window. I walked into the living room from the garage, kissing both of them on the cheek.

Elana's Pov:

I got out of my bed, going to my closet to get my clothes for the day. I pulled out one of my studios' shirts with a pair of jeans and my rain boots. I went to my bathroom, changing, as my straightener heated up. I brushed through my hair, straightening it, before putting it into a ponytail. I grabbed my backpack that had my laptop and camera in it, going to the kitchen to get food, before leaving for work. Before I left the living room, I pulled on my sweatshirt, since it was pouring out. I pulled up my hood, before running out to my car in the driveway. I got in, driving to the studio after I got my mom and I both coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

Aly's Pov:

I sat in my Biol 101 class, learning about the parts of the body. I opened my school email, pulling up the power point that has the notes. I took out my notebook, coping down the notes for each bone. Soon my Biol 101 class was over and I headed to south campus with LilyKate to our Span 102 class. Once we got there, I took out my textbook and notebook for when class fully starts. Senor Wagner pulled up the power point for us, letting us copy down some notes.

*the next day* (May 17)

Zachary's Pov:

While Cayla was on her 30 minute drive home from work, I went into our bedroom, laying her maroon romper that had lace on it and a pair of brown sandals on top of the bed. I quickly wrote a note, placing it on top of the romper.

Please wear this outfit and meet me at the horse barn at Megan's grandmas' house.

After I placed it on top of the clothes, I grabbed the box out of my dresser drawer, before grabbing my keys and wallet. I left the house, driving to Megan's grandmas' house, where I met up with Megan and her grandma in the horse barn. Megan helped me out by writing out the words "Will you marry me?" on the chalkboard on the door of each stall.

*40 minutes later*

I heard footsteps coming towards the door of the horse barn, as I waited down at the other end. Cayla came in, holding the note we had placed in front of the door. After she read the signs, she turned to me, as I got on one knee.

"So, Cayla Elizabeth Harder, will you do the honors of marrying me?" I asked her, opening the box.

"Of course I will," she said, before I slid the ring onto her finger.

I got up off of the floor, picking her up, twirling her around. God, I couldn't wait to be with this woman for the rest of my life.
