The Vampire Prince

A Sudden Interuption

*Natsu's POV*

Today was the day I was finally going to tell Lucy how I felt. I got myself ready and headed out to the guild hall with happy on my shoulder.

When I walked in Lucy was already there, so I walked up to her, while happy went to go look for some fish . "What are you up to Lucy?" I ask her.

"Nothing really, just hanging out here," she said.

"Well, I need to tell you something very important," I say to her while grabbing her hands to bring her up to my level. She got a little bit of a worried look on her face, "Don't worry Lucy, it's not bad." I reasured her.

"I've been feeling this way for so long and I just have to say it," I tell her while starting to blush. Why am I blushing?! She looks as if she already knows what I'm going to say.

"I really, really like you Lucy! No..... Maybe even love you......" I finally blurt out. She takes a step back from what looked like shock on her face.

"You do Natsu?" She asked me and I nodded, "I feel the same way." She says back to me. I look at her with astonishment. I couldn't believe it, she felt the same way!

We stare at each other and then close our eyes and start to lean inward to kiss, in front of the whole guild?!, when a sudden noise gets our attention.

Two guard type men that were dressed in fancy armor attire said, "We are here for Natsu Dragneel! The Vampire Prince!"

"What!" The whole guild yelled in shock. I stood there looking at them like they were crazy. What are they talking about Vampire Prince I'm a dragon slayer!

"What do you want with Natsu?" Gramps walked up to them and asked.

"We are here to bring him back to his kingdom of vampires. He is a Pure Royal Blood Vampire of the Dragneel Family. The highest ranking there is. We were also ordered to bring back Lucy Heartfilia as well for the Heartfilia Family. Her true place for she is also a Pure Royal Vampire." They said so casually.

"Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia were to be engaged so the Pure Royal Lineage was to be kept going." They continued, "They both had disappeared soon after they were born but the kingdoms started hearing reports of what seemed like them so they sent us out to go and retrieve them."

Gramps studies them, "How do I have any proof that any of this is true? Natsu is a Dragon Slayer and Lucy is a Celestial Wizard. How could they be vampires?"

I realize Lucy's hand is tightening on mine and I whisper, "It's okay, I won't let anyone hurt you." With that, she relaxed and hugged me while I hugged her back.

The guards flashed their fangs and then said, "They were taken out of the kingdom before they were fully able to become vampires. Now we must go!" They say turning.

"No!" Gray, along with some others, shouted, "You just can't take our friends!"

"Agreed," Erza said and she pulled out her armor and sword.

"Then you two come along, they could find something that you two can do." They said.

And with that, they opened a bottle of something and the whole guild started passing out. The last thing I remembered was hugging Lucy as tight as I could so I knew they couldn't take her from me and then everything went black.
