Moon had watched television in her room as Lillie posted pictures, files, and evidence all over her large bulletin board with thumbtacks.  She seemed much like a conspiracy theorist, with the string from her hoodie tying everything together.  "Here," she shouted, which made Moon jump and Lunala chirp fussily.

"What?"

"Here!"  Lillie pointed her finger at two of the pictures she had posted.

"What about it?"  The girl turned the light in the room off and lied down on her back next to Moon.  She rolled onto her back as well and pressed her head up against Lillie's.  The girl shone a flashlight through the picture she had traced out of Kukui with his hair down and his lab coat off.  It shone the projection onto the ceiling, and she smiled as she held up the picture of the Lycanrock that she had taken a photo of and traced out.

"They're almost the same height and have about the same muscles."

"Well, Kukui looks like a few Pokémon out there—"

"No, Moon, this is different!"

"How so?"  Lillie waited for a minute before she dropped the papers and switched off the flashlight.  Moon looked to see tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I don't know."  Lillie sobbed and Moon slowly hugged her.  The girls lied on the floor in each other's embrace and Moon pressed her forehead into Lillie's.

"It'll be okay," she consoled, and Lillie sniveled harshly.

"I don't want him to hurt," she whimpered, and Moon squeezed her tight.  Moon glared to the door when she heard a loud crash and a horrible growl.  What if Lillie wasn't lying or making anything up?  Why would she have a reason to?

"We're gonna get him," Moon grumbled, stumbling to her feet.

"Where are you going?"  She brushed herself off and threw open the closet, pulling out any black clothes she had.

"Disguise yourself," she ordered, going to grab her makeup bag.  Lillie pulled on some of Moon's black stockings and a pair of her black combat boots, watching the girl close.

"What are we doing?"  Moon pulled out black eyeliner from her makeup bag and began to smear it on her face around her eyes.  She threw the tube to Lillie and put on black jeans, a black turtleneck, and she tied a black bandana around her nose and mouth.  Lillie scooped up a black dress with a neck and sleeves in it, and she tugged it over her head.  Moon thought fast and found some of her temporary black hair dye leftover from Halloween that Lillie had used for her costume and accidentally forgotten.  She began to spray it madly into the girl's hair, and Lillie tied her own bandana around her face.  "Moon, please tell me what's wrong!"

Moon slipped into her own black sneakers and stepped back, throwing the girl some gloves.  From under her bed, she pulled out a paintball gun and strapped the clips around her chest.  As Lillie pulled her hair up into a ponytail, she watched Moon punch a number on her Rotomphone.  On the other end, Lillie could hear Hau playing a fighting game.

"Hey," he began through a mouthful of food.

"Hey, can you sneak out?"

"Why?"

"We're gonna kick some wererock ass," Moon silently announced, and Lillie nodded.

"I'll be over in five minutes, don't start without me cousin!"

"Be careful in the storm.  The garage is unlocked, you know what to do.  Bat Girl, out."

"Cool Guy, out!"  Moon hung up the phone after Hau and smiled behind her bandana.  Lillie and Moon waited only for a minute before all of the sound in the house completely shut off as the breaker had been switched off.  Moon clutched the gun tight to her chest as her eyes narrowed at Lillie, and Hau began to climb through her bedroom window with a Nerf gun and a chocolate bar.

"Why would you use the Yellowpages as your weapon? Hau brought a foam gun and it'll do more damage than that!"

"I don't know, it was heavy," Lillie whimpered in a panic, following close behind Moon and Hau.  The house was extremely dark with no power, and Lunala followed them in the rafters sneakily as she protected Snowy and Hau's rowlet in her wing's embrace, looking over the kids to make sure they weren't hurt.

It was in that moment halfway through the living room that they heard a low growl.

Lillie squeaked in fear and Moon slapped her hand over the girl's mouth.  It was thankfully silent due to the padding of the gloves and bandana, but they stood deadly still as Moon felt the breath of wind huffing over her leg.  She closed her eyes and the horrible monster stood up on his back legs, towering at least three feet over her.  She kept her eyes shut as the monster growled, and she slowly backed away with Lillie and Hau hugged tight against her.

The figure that was once a smart, fun professor was a terrible, scary creature that was out for nothing but blood.  Moon tapped her gloved fingers together silently, and Lunala twitched her ear gently as she heard the tiny vibration created.  Lunala kept a stronger watch, locking in on the wererock.  He growled angrily and grabbed Moon up with his large, powerful hands.  She furrowed her eyebrows at him and he breathed in her face, unhinging his jaw to clamp his teeth deep into her skin.

"Moon," Hau gasped, and Lillie began to have a panic attack.

"Lillie, he's still in there," Moon pleaded as he raised her up higher.  "Do you want him back?"  The girl nodded and began to whimper through her sobbing.  "Then kill this thing before we end up dead first!"  Lillie was frozen still, and Moon looked down to Lillie.  "Do it for your dad!"  Lillie stared at Moon for a minute before she raised her phonebook and swung as hard as she could, hitting the wererock in the head.  He dropped Moon as he was thrown to the floor and the fur began to shed away ever so slowly.

Lillie sat on him as she had in the bed that first night of their adventure and she raised the phonebook over her head, beating him as hard as she could with it.  Every time her tiny body threw the phonebook down, she screamed at the creature that took her beloved caretaker away from her.

"Lillie, you're hurting me," Kukui's voice pleaded weakly, and she looked down at the monster that had half reverted to his former self.  His brown eyes returned to yellow and he grabbed her by the neck, throwing her to the side.  Hau shot him in the eye with a foam bullet, and the creature began to come back, roaring as he stumbled to Hau with his claws extended to him.  Moon hit him with a few paintballs, causing him to yelp in pain.

"Stop it, please!"  Lillie curled up in a ball with her phonebook close to her and the creature grabbed her.  She beat him in the head one last time and his yellow eyes swelled with red.
