A deputy
but so much more than that

He gets the job done no doubt
but always has time for others

From the first scotch
to the muffins at the café
he has been nothing but kind
to me and so much more

My horses yip with joy
noticing my happiness
through our bond
something they haven't
seen since Alec

A blush spreads
over my cheeks
as I write this
about him
curious of his
reaction if he
were to ever
read this

His words
plague my mind
and I couldn't help
that he was
the last thought
on my mind before
my eyes shut close
at night

His mighty fine figure
was enough to stop
my words at first sight
Thank god
I didn't stumble over
my words when I
first encountered
him

It's no
wonder why
I like him so

Carried away
by my thoughts
I'll cut this off
and continue
at another time
