Hunteresses POV

Artemis and her hunters ran though the forest of dusk. they had been searching a week and still had not even seen "it". All were armed with arrows and hunting knives, waiting to be attacked.

they heard a rustle and all stopped. Artimas held her figure to her lips for silence. she slowly advanced the bush that the sound had come from. Slowly, she moved forward, now raising her knife. she slowly moved the bush to the side and gasped at the site.

There, hidden in the shadow of the bush, was a child wrapped in leaves, no more then a one. She was asleep her cheeks rosy red. Artimas gently grabbed the child and held her up, looking at her hunters. They all started back, not knowing what to do or say.

Artimas and her hunters scoured the forest all night, leaving the child in the care of a loving hunter to protect the child while they searched, but found no sight of a family. the child seemed to have appeared out of no where. Artisans went to the nearest town to find someplace to leave the child. As they approached it appeared to be abandoned, but Artemis knew better. She sent her Hunters away and walked into the town. through further searching she found the town had been attached, most likely by the same beast they were searching for. body's were found in basements, but non had serviced. The sight would make any mortal go insane. But Artimas was no mere mortal, she was an Olympian. After finding no sign of any surviving life, she was forced to burn the town to the ground, so as to make sure one could see what she had been forced to see.

After a week Artimas fell in love with this child and kept her as her own, naming her Helena. She trained her and raised her as her own. The child grew and hunted with the hunters, but Artimas refused to grant her the gift of immortality, which would force the child to be forever a vergion. The child had never had a taist of normal life, all she had ever known was the hunters. Artemis kept the child safe and loved her and wanted the best for her, wishing the child a full live and as it's experiences.

Unknown to them, the Faits were weaving the future with not just a daughter of Artimas tide to it, but another who's fate was just as clouded. This future also hung in the balance of a girl named Iveryn Forrester.

Helen's POV

I woke with a jolt. There was yelling out side of my tent. Long, dark shadows danced on the walls. I bolted upright, grabbed my bow and knife in one quick swoop, and ran out of the tent just in time to join the action. The hunters were already up and were in the middle of battle with six large Cyclops. most mortals could not see through the Mist that hid monsters like these, but I was born with eyes that could. It had come in handy many times in the past and once again mostliky had saved my life again. The Cyclops had not seen me yet, so I snuck around behind them and aimed my bow. At a young age I had learned how to shoot an arrow, which kinds of arrows were handy with different creatures, how to get close and stab a monster with my dagger, things every little five year old should morality not be doing. But most little kids did not have to fight for their life's from monster every day, much less hunt them.

I took aim and let the arrow fly with a happy shooo-plop sound as it lodged into the Cyclopse's eye. I smiled a little as the creatures turned to dust and flew away in the wind. One down, five more to go.

But when I turned around, all I saw were piles of gold dust. All the hunters walked away like they had just been out for a Little walk in stead of been fighting for there live. Nelly, a red haired youth women who looked no older then 22 saw me and started towards me. Nelly had been like my sister to me. She was the one who took care of me when Artimas was gone (which was about every month for four weeks). Artimas was a god for crying out loud, but I still missed her a lot.
