3rd person p.o.v

It was a quiet Halloween night in Godricks Hollow. The moon was glimmering in the clear dark, cloudless sky. Some may say it was a peaceful night but, others like the Potter's couldn't say the same.

You see, the Potter's were in hiding.

Nobody, besides their friends, knew where they lived. It was better that way, for the less people who knew the whereabouts of the Potter's the better chance they could survive this war.

Inside the house where the Potter's lived. Two children were playing on the floor of the livingroom. Baby Harry was giggling as his 3 year old sister Shaylynn was making facing at him by changing her appearance.

She was a metamorphagus.

They were witches and wizards that could change their appearance at will. However it wasn't a common thing as they were really rare beings.

"Shay please don't get Harry worked up before bed," Her father James Potter says picking up the small girl and throws her into the air before catching her.

"Daddy again," she giggled happily, smiling at her dad.

James did it one more time as Lily, her mother, came in and took Harry up to his crib. It was almost his bed time after all.

After her mother left the room, Shaylynn looked at her father lovingly before running her hands through his messy black hair.

James chuckled "Really Shay, it's already messy without you playing with it,"

The girl smiled giving her father a kiss on the forehead "Love you daddy," she says snuggling into her father as James took her upstairs to her bedroom. He placed her under her covers then tucked her in seeing her fast asleep.

He took this time to admire how much she looked like her mother. Pretty red hair matched with emerald green eyes. He loved that his daughter had taken after his wife in looks and personality. It would be funny if she was stubborn like Lily was.

He was thinking about how Shaylynn would love to attend Hogwarts and learn all kinds of magic. She would be smart like her mother and rambunctious as he and his friends were. He just hoped that this whole thing with Voldemort was over with soon, so both his children could live in peace.

In the middle of the night, a loud bang shook the Potter household causing Shaylynn to wake up. Something like this hadn't happened before and she was scared that something was wrong.

Terrified, the little girl crawled out of bed. A stuffed lion in her hands as she went and opened her bedroom door. The house was dead quiet as she walked into her brother's room.

Upon entering, she saw Harry in his crib. The boy was crying. Staring sadly at a figure on the floor. Shaylynn walked forward to see who it could be.

It was Lily.

Her mother was lying lifeless on the floor, staring blankly at the blue ceiling. Unlike most children her age, Shaylynn knew that her mother was gone.

"It's ok Mummy, you with Nanna and Poppa now," she says running a tiny hand through her mom's hair. A trail of tears running down her face.

"Mummy," Harry cried, trying to reach for his mother through the bars of his crib.

Shaylynn was about to tell him it's alright, when she looked up at her baby brothers face. There was now a mark on his forehead, shaped oddly like a lightning bolt. She went to crawl into the crib with Harry when footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs.

Suddenly the door opens and a bunch of dark figures walk in. Poor Harry began to cry more as his sister took his hand, rubbing her thumb gently across the back of it.

The footsteps drew closer until she saw the face of a dark haired man. His face, once handsome, was wrinkled slightly but what scared Shaylynn the most, was his dark red eyes that seemed so deadly.

"Take the girl,"

Those three words were never forgotten by the young Potter girl.......

Hey everyone. I've had this idea floating around in the back of my mind for a few days now, so I decided to write it down so I wouldn't forget it. But I hope you like it and thanks for reading. If no point of view it stated then it's Shaylynn's p.o.v anyone elses will be stated at the top of the chapter.
