(She doesn't have the glass coffee table, and the stairs are wooden like Mike's basement stairs.)

Billy's POV.

After Emmeline locked me out of her room, I could hear Tommy pushing things over in her room. I couldn't get in from this door, but maybe the front door is unlocked, or I can find a spare key, so I ran to the front and, luckily, the door was unlocked. It took me a few moments to run around her house and find where the front door was, and it took me a few more to find the basement door too, and I found the door broken and laying on the stairs. I hurried down the steps to find Tommy hovering over Emmeline's body on the floor, punching her stomach and face.

"Hey!" I yell, gaining his attention, he leans away from her to look at me.

"Billy? What're you doing here?" He asks, but I punch his face and shove him off Emmeline quickly. I jump on him and start punching his face.

"Don't ever touch Emmeline again!" I yell as I punch him one more time. When I get off of him, he scurried out the basement door and out of the house. I can hear the front door slam close as he leaves, but then I hear it open only a few moments later. Emmeline whimpers slightly.

"My... parents are home... you have to leave, Billy..." she whispers.

"Emmeline?! Where are you?!" I hear a frantic woman shout.

"Billy, you have to go... please..." she pleads before losing consciousness.

"Emma!" I hear a man shout as I hear footsteps run down the stairs. I turn slightly, Emmeline in my arms, to find a man and a woman that look similar to Emmeline. They panic as they see me and their unconscious daughter in my arms. "What did you do to our daughter?!"

"I didn't do anything to her. Tommy did, and I stopped him." I say, standing with her in my arms as I pull her close, away from the couple.

"Emma..." the woman says softly before she walks up to me, the man trying to call her back to him. "My baby girl... poor thing..."

"You're her mom?" I ask her softly as she holds Emma's face gently.

"Yeah... we're her parents... I'm her mother, Lisa Hale and that's her dad, George Hale." The woman introduces. George comes over and takes Emma out of my arms gently, Lisa holding her hand.

"What exactly happened?" Her dad asked, turning to me as he places his daughter in her bed, Lisa crawling in with her to monitor her.

"She Uh... shes been staying over at my house with my sister, and tonight she left us notes saying she was going for a run." I lie slightly. I don't know how much they know about Emma. "She didn't say she was going home, and I called here since she was gone for quite a while. Tommy picked up and told me that you two weren't here and neither was Emma. He hung up before I could ask anything else, and I had a bad feeling so I rushed here and Emma let me in her room, Tommy upstairs, probably drinking. She was cleaning some cuts and bruises and when Tommy heard us, she tried to push me out of the room. When she did, I ran to the front door, and when I got inside I found her bedroom door broken and Tommy hovering over her, punching her. I shoved him off and punched him, making a point to not hurt her again, and then he ran off, then you guys showed up."

"What did you say your name was, boy?" George asked cautiously.

"I didn't say it, sorry, my names Billy. Billy Hargrove." I tell them.

"Honey, she's burning up." Lisa said to her husband, making him sigh.

"Billy? Max Mayfield's step brother, right? Neil's son?" He quizzes.

"That's right, sir." I tense, finding out he knows my father.

"Max knows of Emma's... condition. Do you?" He asks me seriously.

"That she can shift into a..." I trail off, not fully knowing if they knew.

"A wolf, yeah. From what we learned over the past few years, Emma can shift into a wolf, gaining some of their abilities and qualities. Some added factors are her accelerated healing factor, and her temperature is unusually higher than most humans. Right now, it's even higher."

"What does that mean? Is she gonna be okay?" I ask worriedly.

"We've never witnessed anything like this, but my guess is that idiot nephew of mine must have hurt her more than it looks." Lisa hisses.

"We need to go get the necessary supplies to help her at home, instead of taking her to a hospital. Can you stay here and watch over her for us? We shouldn't be gone too long, and Lisa here is a doctor, she'll know what exactly we need to get." George explained to me, and I nodded.

"Yeah. Go, I'll watch after her." I tell them. They nod and leave the house. I hear them lock the front door as they go. I turn back to Emma.

I get in bed beside her, making sure not to touch her in case I make her uncomfortable or over heated. I watch as she somewhat shivers under the covers, even though sweat drips from her forehead. I watch a little in amusement as she starts moving around slightly, almost looking for something before touching my chest before I can move back. She wraps a hand in my shirt and holds me there as she scoots closer and nuzzles her head in my chest as she still sleeps. I hesitate but wrap my arms around her, laying flat on my back while pulling her onto me, her head laying on my chest.

I lightly pat her hair down as she gets comfortable, I can hear her release a sigh of relief or content as she ceases her movements

I lightly pat her hair down as she gets comfortable, I can hear her release a sigh of relief or content as she ceases her movements. I pull the blanket up higher on her and kiss her head, muttering into her hair how everything was okay and that her parents would be back to help her.
