Third.

By the time school started back up the next week, Emmeline was all healed up and she seemed happy. Tommy wasn't abusing her, or anyone for that matter, and it seemed like her and Billy were on really good terms in their relationship. She went over to his house almost every day to hang out with Max, and then she'd go home and sleep in her own bed with Billy, since she didn't like him not being protected from his father. She told him about the lab and what exactly had been done to her, and even explained how he was her imprint and was the most important person in the world to her. When they got to school, he still had his tough guy act up, but he wasn't sleeping around with random girls. There were still girls who wanted to try to get with him, but as soon as they felt or saw Emmeline's glare, they backed off. She gave off a strong and protective aura. They just thought maybe she was the jealous type of girlfriend who could turn psycho if anyone tried to take Billy away. In some ways she was. Billy dropped hanging out with Tommy and his other fake friends, choosing instead to hang around Emmeline, and reluctantly Steve, Nancy and Jonathan. They got along okay, with a few arguments shared between Steve and Billy, but Emmeline liked to believe it was just their personalities clashing. Her and Nancy became close, bonding over a lot of things, but her closest friend would probably always be Max. Emmeline was sad when she found out El couldn't come to school for another year or so, but she cheered up when Jim offered to let her come over whenever she wanted to see the girl. Emmeline felt life was great, that nothing could go wrong. Summer was starting in a few days, and sadly, Dustin had to go off to summer camp, but she had everyone else there for her. Including two little toddlers her parents recently adopted after she found them abandoned in the woods. Their names were James, who they would call jimmy(everyone called him that), or Jam(Emma called him that) and a little girl named Annalee, everyone called her Ann or Anna(everyone called her that) and Lee-Lee(Emma).

Emmeline's pov.

"Jam! Lee-Lee! Cmon! Billy's taking us to the pool!" I shout up the stairs as I let Billy into the house. I was currently in my one-piece bathing suit that covered my back scars, and I had one of Billy's shirts covering me along with some shorts. Billy stood by me in a regular bathing suit, he was taking us to the pool so the two toddlers could have fun while he went and applied for a lifeguard job. I hear the kids running down the stairs.

"Billy!" Annalee yells as she runs faster than her twin brother.

"My little Anna!" He shouts, picking her up and tossing her in the air slightly. She giggled and squealed as James came and hid behind my legs. Billy placed Annalee on his hip before looking at James.

"H-hi Billy..." James whispered shyly. He was always shy around everyone except for me and Annalee. She was his twin, and I had found them.

"Still a little scared of me, squirt?" Billy asked, squatting with Anna crawling on him like a koala. He was now James' height, or almost.

"James! Billy's fun! Come up here!" Annalee cooed as she hugged Billy's neck, settling herself on his back as the teen stood up fully.

"N-no Thank you..." James said politely, wrapping his small arms around my leg. He doesn't like heights much, and Billy was tall.

"Let's get going, huh little man?" I ask, looking down at him. He looked up at me and adjusted his glasses before nodding. I grabbed his little hand in mine before grabbing my bag that held our extra clothes. Billy ran around, causing Annalee to giggle before he set her in the back of his car, where he had already placed their car seats. My parents left them in the house cause they knew Billy likes taking me and the kids out.

"James!" Anna cheered as I sat him beside her in the back, buckling him up since Billy already buckled her up. She was the cheerful twin, and a bit clingy with James, and normally acted like she hasn't seen him in a while if their gone from each other's sights for more than a few seconds.

"Are we ready?" I ask and they both nod. I nod back before getting out of the back and fixing the passenger seat before buckling myself in.

"Let's go then." Billy cheered as he drove out of my drive way and down the rode. He was always careful with the twins in his car, never speeding or going to fast to upset James. James was the more cautious and sickly of the twins. He was great with them.

When we got to the pool, Billy helped me set up at a table with an umbrella before he went to go talk to the employees. I made sure to put sunscreen on Annalee first, who couldn't wait to be in the pool, and when she was thoroughly protected from the harmfully sun rays, she went to the stairs and got in the shallow end quickly. I made sure to keep an eye on her as I carefully put sunscreen on James, who wouldn't get in until he was thoroughly coated. The two were complete polar opposites, but they loved each other either way, and everyone loved them too. James didn't get in the water right away, he waited until I got my sunscreen on and then he got in, his round glasses still on his face as he stayed as close to me as he could without going too deep where he couldn't stand. Annalee was climbing the walls and venturing to somewhat deep waters, at least deep for them, but she knew to stay near me and her brother. Before long, Billy came out and joined us, going and hovering around Anna as she ventured deeper, knowing she could with Billy staying close to her. When the kids grew tired, we packed our things, wrapped them in towels and buckled them into their car seats before driving home. Billy told me in the car ride, as the children were slowly falling asleep, that he had gotten the job and would start in a few days. I was so happy for him, and when we had stopped in the driveway, I gave him a big kiss as congratulations. We took the kids inside and into their room where we laid them in their beds before we went to my room and cuddled under the covers and watched some show on the tv I have in the basement. We took a nap and when we woke up, it was dinner time and mom and dad were already home.
