Twelve - I Missed You

"What movie did you pick?" Alex asks coming into the room with a bowl of popcorn. She sits down next to Maggie on the longer end of the couch.

"Your favorite " Maggie says taking a handful from the bowl. The title screen comes up showing 'Divergent' starting to appear.

Alex squeals like a little girl on Christmas "yay I haven't seen a movie in a while!".

Maggie giggles "you mean this movie in a while?". Alex shakes her head "I meant a movie in a while....work has been pretty overwhelming".

Maggie whistles "damn danvers , you don't know how to live do you?". Alex scoffs "of course I do".

Maggie hums "mhm sure danvers....sure" Alex looks at Maggie with a shocked look "oh really, you think I can't live...you think I can't have fun?"

Maggie laughs "nope" . Alex sighs "well then I'll just have to prove to you how fun I can be".

Maggie looks at Alex nervously , was she going to kiss her or something? She gulps "uh h-how?" She asks.

Alex is obviously oblivious to her stutter so she continues "what's today?" . Maggie relaxes but her emotions are mixed with relief and dissatisfaction. "Erm...I don't know I think it's Thursday, why?"

Alex smirks "to show you how fun I am, on Saturday I'll take you out....if your up for it?" Maggie grins "course I'm up for it danvers...wow ok then I'll have to go to my place to grab some spare clothing though"

Alex nods "I'll take you tomorrow , the nurse said you should be up and going with no limp only a slight soreness by then so..."

"Alright ...thanks Alex " Maggie says sincerely. Alex smiles "of course".

They watch the movie for a good 45 minutes before Alex gets up to use the restroom. "I'll be right back, want anything before I get back?"

"Could you grab a blanket? I'm kinda cold" Maggie asks.

Alex nods "sure".

Maggie waits for alexs' footsteps to fade away from ear shot. She then takes a deep breath and thinks to herself.

'You gotta do something Maggie come on! Lena said to make your move before someone else does...I can't go too fast but I gotta do something!'

Alex comes back with a blanket in her hands. She lays down and unfolds it so they could share.

Maggie thinks quick , too quick and she acts. She scoots closer to Alex and cuddles up next to her.

Alex tenses up and freezes, her heart rapidly and loudly beating in her chest so loud in fact, she's scared Maggie could hear it.

Maggie thinks she's made the wrong move and backs away. "S-sorry" .

Alex shakes her head and bites her lip. "No! It's ok" she says. Alex holds Maggies head down back to her chest and pulls her closer than she was. "It's ok".

Maggie feels heat rush up to her cheeks as she lays her head on Alex. She places her arm over alexs' stomach and Alex places her arm around Maggie.

They cuddle as if they were back together again. Their legs intwine and hearts slow down as they just want to enjoy the moment.
