Chapter 6 ~A Break From It All~

Tyler P.O.V.

I don't understand what's going on, and no one will tell me. But, today I got to see Me-Me and Opa! Papa said that we would be staying with them for awhile, so maybe I'll get to go to the beach and swim! Or better, Disney world!! I've only been once, but that was when I was a baby, so I don't remember it. Papa said that I liked it though. Dad opened the door with me imbetween his legs, and as soon as the door flew open two giant dogs attacked me! But I know these dogs, so it was OK. Their names were Nico and Baer. The one named Baer was named that because he looked like a baby bear. But they wanted to make the name more... Original, so they spelled it weird. I find it funny when they write it down. We also get to see Auntie Lily! Auntie Lily is Papa's little sister. I can't wait to see her!

Lily P.O.V.

I was ecstatic to see Tyler, I haven't seen him since he was a newborn! He's so big now! But I'm still really shookin up by what happened the month before.

One month before

A knock on the door. I went to go get it. I trotted down the stairs and opened the double doors. There was a singular letter laying on the ground. She closed the doors and opened the letter. It was a handwritten letter. The hand writing was really bad, so I squinted to read it.

Lily

My hands shook like crazy as I stepped outside. You can beat and kill me all you want, but no one touches my nephew. I stepped both my feet outside with my hands up. Then I felt cold metal on my head. A gun. I froze.

As I was blindfolded, I heard a female voice say, "You're coming with me."

I was shoved inside a building as the blindfold was taken off. I turned to my right and saw some windows, leading to downstairs, almost like those science experiment labs. And down there, tied to a chair, I saw

"Joven!" I screamed as he looked up. He was gagged and he had bruises and cuts all over his face. He looked, disappointed.

She felt something graze her back, and saw a finger on a button.

"Talk again and he dies."

My eyes watered as I studied the figure that told me this.

She looked like Mari. Her hair was in a bob, with slight pink at the ends. She was wearing all black, and her figure was skinny and lanky, she clearly hadn't eaten enough. Speaking of,

"I'm going to get lunch. Best hom for me will you?" She pleaded, using what was supposed to be puppy eyes.

I nodded as she handed me a bat, and I looked at Joven. There were tears streaming down his face, as he shook his head back and forth.

"I'll be 5 minutes. Just, make him bleed." She snarled. I couldn't stand her already. I walked down the stairs as I turned to Joven.

"Joven." I whispered.

He looked at me, more tears running down his face.

"I won't hurt you, I promise." I told him, dropping the bat.

"But I have to do two things. You have a scab on your face. It's gonna hurt, but I have to pick it off so you'll bleed." I looked up and spotted a phone.

"Oh shit. I'm gonna call the police ok Joven? Then we'll hide." He looked at me after I said that, and I could see the hope in his eyes. I ran up the stairs and grabbed the phone. I pressed 3 numbers.

Ri-

"911 what's your emergency?"

"Me and my friend have been kidnapped."

"Do you know the address?"

"No, but it's a tall dark, building. I can see from the window."

"Ok, we're coming."

I hung up and untied Joven. I grabbed him as he pointed to under the stairs.

We crawled underneath as he spit something out. "Y-You saved me." I smiled. I would do anything for Joven.

I heard the door open and then sirens.

"That bitch called the police!" I heard Mikashi yell. We hid as quiet as we could. But eventually, we saw light.

"There you are." She smiled at me.

"You'll die first you tattle tailing bitch!" She pulled the trigger as I prepared for death. I smiled, realizing how good my life was. And then I felt nothing. I opened my eyes to see Joven with a bullet through his head.

"NO!" I screamed as loud as I could. He was dead. I killed Joven. I screamed, and then heard another bullet. And I knew what was coming.
