As Jewel entered through the front door, she was shocked to see her husband seated in front of the television screen.

"Daddy!"

Mya exclaimed as she ran towards him and Carlos scooped her onto his lap.

They had yet to discuss the argument they had last night and Jewel didn't know where to start or to end.

She loved her husband, but his lack of trust in her grew to become annoying.

He stared at her.

"Good evening."

"Good evening."

Jewel responded as she walked into the kitchen and placed Mya's lunch kit as she began to unpack its contents.

She heard Carlos' voice in the background as he spoke to Mya.

"My run up to your room and get changed."

She knew it was his excuse to speak to her and frankly Jewel did not know if she was ready to speak to the man.

"Where's Jes?"

He questioned.

"He called and asked to go over to Justin's again this evening. Stephanie would drop him home later."

He nodded as he walked into the kitchen and placed a paper on the counter in front of her.

Jewel's heart raced. For a second she'd imagined that he was serving her divorce papers, but as her eyes stared at the words on the paper, she realized that she was wrong.

"What is this?"

"I went to a fertility clinic today. I'm perfectly fine. I think you should get checked out as well."

Jewel stared at the man in disbelief, he spent all night avoiding her and today he wanted her to get checked out so they could continue to try for a baby?

"Carlos are you seriously still thinking about us having another child when you second guess the second child that we do have?"

She questioned.

Jewel knew she could be submissive. All this would fade away if she just agreed to seeing a fertility doctor and they continued to try for a baby.

But her day with Ryan was an eye opener. They were both tiptoeing around the truth.

Well she knew that she was for the most part. She didn't want to bring another child into this world. Not right now, not when her marriage didn't feel as if it was still strong enough to withstand the challenges that came against it.

"She has deep brown eyes and light brown skin."

He spat.

"And so does your father Carlos. Do you really think so low of me that you'd believe I'd step out on our marriage because we were going through some things?"

"I don't know what to believe Jewel."

He said through gritted teeth.

"Explain to me why you can't get pregnant? If you never slept with Ryan, why aren't you pregnant right now?"

Her nostrils flared.

Her husband's lack of trust in her was the icing on the cake.

She should be the one that didn't trust him, yet he stood in front of her accusing her of having an affair with Ryan.

"Be honest for once Jewel, I just want the truth, you slept with Ryan."

"You're not even asking, you're telling me!"
