Jewel watched as her little girl twirled around the room.
Her heart melted and broke all in one. The last time she'd seen her daughter had been the night of the basketball game.
She'd never went this long without having Mya near before and she felt as if she was missing a piece of her.
When Mya's eyes connected with her, instantly they lit up as she ran towards her mother.
"Mummy!"
Mya exclaimed as she hopped into Jewel's arms.
Jewel couldn't deny the fact that being a mother was the best job on this earth.
Mya wrapped her arms around her mother's neck.
"I've been having the best time at Aunty Kim's. We made bracelets and danced and watched Trolls and..."
Her little girl went on and on as Jewel smiled in response.
"You had a lot of fun."
Briana stood at Jewel's feet.
"Aunty Jewel are you taking Mya home?"
She pouted as Jewel nodded.
"It's time for My to come home pumpkin, but I'm dropping were all going to Aunty Kim's after collecting Kharyi from basketball practice and you're mummy would come get you there okay."
"Okay."
Briana smiled.
"Go get your things."
Jewel parked in front of Kim's home as the kids hopped out and ran toward the house.
Kim stood at the entrance, a smile on her lips at the sight of Jewel. She wrapped her arms around her best friend.
"It feels so good to see you."
Kim confessed as Jewel hugged the woman in return.
"We need to plan dates occasionally, minus the kids."
Jewel responded as she entered the home.
"Jasmine is inside with the bottle of red wine."
Jewel grinned as they walked into the kitchen.
Jasmine hugged her sister and Jewel felt loved in this moment.
She took a seat across from both women as Jasmine poured the wine in the three wine glasses.
"So... I think we both just want to know how are things?"
Kim was the first to ask as Jewel shrugged.
"He agreed to a separation for now and then from there we'd move on to a divorce to finalize everything. The house is mine of course for the kids. He told me this morning that he found a place that's like ten minutes away from the house so if Jeston decides to stay with him it won't be a problem."
Jasmine's eyebrows arched.
"Are we trusting this man? Like he's too accepting of this situation. How has he been over the past few days."
Jewel rolled her eyes because her sister was right.
"Walking around the house shirtless, making breakfast and I came home last night to a bouquet of roses."
"Mhmmm."
Jasmine sipped on her drink.
"He ain't slick. He's trying to seduce you into staying."
As much as the temptation was there, Jewel couldn't erase what he'd done with Summer. Of course she was very much attracted to her husband and seeing him without a shirt on did things to her, but the very thought of it reminded her that another woman had claimed her husband.
