That night, right before my shift ended, Jimin's doctor made his patient rounds. Jimin was still sound asleep because of the pain medication that we gave him. The doctor gave him clearance to be out of the hospital the next day for their concert, as long as he won't be dancing on stage and that he needed to check back in the hospital right after the concert. His neck CT Scan result also came in. Thank goodness it was negative for any injury. The doctor said it was just a case of severe muscle cramps on his neck. and back.
"How extreme could their performances be that it could cause him this much muscle cramps?" I asked myself.  I was really tempted to find out and search about them on the internet, but I remembered my promise to him.
I punched out at exactly 7 pm marking the end of my shift. I peeked inside Jimin's room before leaving. He was still fast asleep.
"Rest well, Jimin" I whispered as I closed the door.  For some reason, there was a part of me that didn't want to leave. I just wanted to stay and watch him sleep. I want to be there to comfort him.
"What's wrong with you? He is just another patient. You barely even know him!" I scolded myself.
I left the hospital with a heavy heart. I, myself don't understand why. So, I quickly got to my car and grabbed the gym bag that I usually keep there. I took out my jogging outfit and struggled to change into them inside the car. I decided to go on a night jog by the beach before heading home. I put on some music on my phone and put on my headphones. I usually do this when I want to clear my mind off something.
Jogging by the beach at night usually calms me down. I liked the feeling of the cool breeze against my face. After 30 minutes of doing just that, I stopped to catch my breath. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice right behind me.
" I guess I have really good luck to see you here tonight." Tae said.
" Tae! What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise.
" I came by to see how Jimin was doing, and also to try if I could see you again." He replied.
" Me? Why?" I asked.
" Uhmmm.... nothing. Just because." He said shyly. " Do you mind if I walk with you by the beach for a few more minutes?" He hesitantly asked.
I  just didn't have the heart to say no. He was just way too nice.
Tae is a very pleasant person. He had a lot of interesting stories to tell. He spoke about what he loves to do, what makes him happy, his future plans while also taking the time to listen to stories that I have to tell. We laughed and shared serious moments too. It was like hanging out with a good friend. What I noticed though, is that he never once spoke about his life as a part of BTS, and I never dared ask about it since I know nothing about it anyways. It was better to know him and talk to the real him and not the celebrity that he is.
" I enjoyed tonight." He said.
" Me too." I replied.
" I hope we could do this again before we go back home." He added.
" Where is home? When do you have to go?" I asked.
" Korea. " He answered. " We have one more performance next weekend after the one tomorrow night."
He looked at me briefly without saying a word, then he hesitantly said " It would be nice if you could come to watch the concert tomorrow.  I would love for you to be there."
That invitation came as a surprise to me. I didn't expect him to be inviting me to come to see them.
" Unless of course if you have other plans or if you are not interested to come. I totally understand" he quickly said.
" No! I have no plans. It's my day off from work, so I would love to come to watch you. It's just that I heard from some of my co-workers that your tickets got easily sold out." I answered.
" Why are you being too cute! Why would you think that I would invite you to come and watch us from the farthest seat? I will give you backstage pass, Miss Kittie!" He said with amusement.
"Backstage? Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief.
" Yes, Miss Kittie. Be there a little early so you can see part of the soundcheck too. We usually have open access to selected ticket holders to see our soundcheck."
He then received a text message and was so hesitant to say goodbye so soon.
"The other members are ready to go back to the hotel. We just wanted to check on Jimin before we go rest. Tomorrow is a big day for us. Too bad Jimin won't be able to show off on stage like he usually does. " he said sadly.
" He just needs to be in a better health condition, and I'm sure he'll be able to do that again." I said.
" That is for sure! It might break his heart tomorrow, but he might feel a little better if he sees you there. So, make sure that you come. I'll be waiting for you!" Tae said.
He gave me a quick hug and ran back inside the hospital.
