Onika is a senior in college. She moved to Houston from Queens New York because of family issues. She has her first day of school. She grows to like her science teacher Ms. Knowles. Does Ms. Knowles like her back? What happens if she does?
I woke up to my phone ringing while Nika was in my arms. I reached behind me grabbing it off the night stand. Right before I could answer it it went out. I did see it was from my mom. I checked and saw I had 27 missed calls from her. Damn. Just as I was about to call her back, her name flashed across the screen I quickly answered.
"WHY THE HELL YOU NOT ANSWERING YOUR PHONE LITTLE GIRL?" She yelled into my ear as I pulled the phone away.
"Well considering that it's only 7 in the morning, I believe I was sleeping." I said.
"GIRL DON'T GET SMART WITH ME! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO YOUR FATHER? HE AIN'T NEVER COME BACK!" She yelled.
I chuckled bitterly. "You really worried bout that asshole? That nigga tried to fucking CHOKE me yesterday and you worried bout him? I love you momma but that's some bullshit." I said.
With that I hung up and put my phone on Do Not Disturb. Nika started waking up and I looked at her. "What was that about?" She asked sleepily. "My moms is on some bullshit and I'm fucking tired of it." I said softly. "She'll get over it though." I said looking at her. She puckered her lips and I kissed them, giving them a long lingering peck before pulling away. "We gotta go back to school tomorrow so you gonna have to start back calling me Ms. Knowles." I said. She nodded, eyes still closed.
"Well since you still half sleep, I'ma go take a shower." I said getting up. "Hol on I'm finna take one witchu." She said. I nodded and went into the bathroom brushing my teeth. I wash my face before turning the water on. Just as I felt the water get hot, Nika came in. I got undressed as she brushed her teeth. When I was bathing, she got in and I let her in front of me. She turned around and pecked my lips before bathing herself.
We got out, dried off, and got dressed.

We went downstairs and was greeted with the smell of breakfast. "Well you two are up early. I thought y'all would be still sleep from how y'all were going at it last night. Y'all was fuckin like rabbits." Shawn said laughing. "Oh would you shut up?!" I asked feeling my cheeks turn red. "Ooh look at y'all over there blushin." He laughed.
"Shawn." I gritted my whole face was red. "Ha you over there looking like a tomato!" He cackled. "Oh my god- SHAWN!" I yelled. "Whew ok ok I'll leave you alone..." He said wiping his tears. "Thank you." I said calming down. ".... Tomato." He said. "SHAWN- UGH! CALL US WHEN YOU DONE COOKING!" I yelled dragging Nika into the living room. You could hear his loud ass cackles from in here.
I sat us down huffing. "Sometimes I think about firing him." I mumbled under my breath. "Why don't you?" Nika asked. "Simple. The food too good to let go." I responded. "Oh wow." Nika laughed.

We walked through the park holding hands talking about the first thing that came to mind. Shawn offered to keep Jayden for us so we decided to have a day to ourselves before tomorrow.
As we were talking my phone rang. I looked at and saw it was Tunechi. "This the guy that's gone help us with finding your father." I whispered to her while answering and she nodded.
"Aye Tune." I greeted.
"Hey BB. I found some information on this here Robert Maraj. Um he's been divorced, has one daughter, one of his last credit card transactions was for a flight here, and his last know location as of now was at that barber shop around the block. I'm headed there now and I'm gone tail him until I know I can get him." He said.
"You got the right Robert. Call me when you get him." I said.
"Sho (sure) thang." He said.
The call ended and I turned to Nika. "Mr. Maraj is being tailed right now." I said with a smile. She jumped on me and we fell in the grass. She placed kisses all over my face not missing my lips. "I love you too." I laughed. We got up and she hugged me regularly. "Thank you Bey, so much." She said in my chest. "No problem." I said.
"Ms. Knowles?" I heard. Oh shit.
