Hey! I'm really excited to start writing on Wattpad. I hope you guys all like this story. It really makes me feel special to know that people are finally going to be able to read my stories. Besides my friend. So, on to the story, shall we?

Maelie POV

"Good morning Mae Mae!" I heard my brother sing as he hovered over me. My eyes fluttered open, not knowing how close Drew was. Bam! I hit him in the face. "Ow! Waking you up hurts!" he complained, rubbing his cheek. I rubbed my forehead. "Ain't my idea of fun either." I shooed Drew out of the room and went over to my closet. Today was the first day of school (for me at least) and I wanted to look awesome, I frowned at what I had. Mom was cleaning all the clothes, so all I had left was a white button down, an argyle sweater vest, and a pair of skinny jeans.

I slid on the skinny jeans and button down. The button down as a little transparent, showing some of my bra. I couldn't go to school like that. Mom would freak! I ripped the sweater vest over the button down. It covered my bra, so I'm safe.I sighed and went over to my night side table and picked up my huge nerdy glasses. I put them on, and the world cleared up. Mom said I could get contacts next month, so... Okay, so mom got this really big business chance, and she took it. Even though it caused us to move halfway across the country. I left all my friends and came out here. Now, we're on the West Coast, hopefully not going anywhere after this.

I ran up the stairs (yeah, I live in the basement) and into the kitchen. "Morning Mom!" I exclaimed, skidding to a stop in front of the kitchen counter. I checked the time on the stove behind me. 7:49. I'm gonna be late! I shoved my binders and notebooks into my backpack and slid on my knee high black boots. I flung the backpack over my shoulder and looked behind me. "Bye Mom! I'm going to school!" She came rushing out from her room upstairs. "Hold on honey! I'll drive you!" I internally groaned, but complied. There was no stopping Mom when she's in a rush. "Bye Drew!" I called out the door as mom pulled me out. I slid into the passenger seat as mom got into the drivers.

After a few minutes, we arrived in front of the school. "Bye Mom!" I smiled, kissing her cheek. "Bye Mae, I'll see you at home!" I waved as the dark car pulled away from the curb, leaving me at the front of the school. I looked up at the massive building. "So this is Magee Secondary School... nice."

I walked into the main foyer and was swarmed by the amount of people already here. I made my way to the main office. I stopped at the secretary's desk. She didn't pay any attention to me. "Um... excuse me?" The secretary looked up, her aged face putting on a grin. "What can I do for you?" she asked in an over-friendly voice. "Uh... Can I get my schedule? I'm kind of new here." "Oh yes. You must be Evangeline Davis... let me find your file..." She went through a huge cabinet, probably filled with student records. She plucked one out and placed it in front of her. "Let's see... You're Ms. Evangeline Maelie Davis..." She took out 2 sheets of paper. "Here you go. Your schedule and map. I hope you enjoy the rest of the school year." I nodded and walked out. Note to self: Stay AWAY from the office. I followed the map to my new locker.

Once I found the locker, I opened it. It had no lock, so I brought my own from last year. The locker was small, but manageable. I unpacked my stuff and gathered what I needed for my first class, Algebra. I shut my locker and made my way to Mrs. Burnes' Algebra class...

I walked into the classroom and some eyes fell on me. Girls were glaring, and the guys were checking me out. I didn't mind, not like they would actually hook up with me. I took an empty seat at the front. The school bell rang, and a middle aged woman walked in, her tall heels clicking against the floor. "Good morning class." "Good morning Mrs. Burne." She looked over at me. "It seems we have a new face," she walked up to me, "And what is your name?" "Maelie, ma'am." "Can everyone give Maelie a great Magee welcome?" The room was silent. So much for being welcomed. "Don't worry, their probably just tired from the weekend..." Mrs. Burnes chuckled. I chuckled as well. "I know how it feels." "Don't we all. Feel free to call me Lisa." "Does everyone else call you Lisa?" "Nope." I smiled at her. At least someone was being kind to me on my first day! Lisa walked to the door of the classroom. As she closed it, a foot ran through the crack, stopping it. Lisa opened the door. "Good morning Mr. Ramsay, what's your excuse this time?" she asked, impatiently. "Uh... I slept in." "If I had a nickel for everytime you said that..." Lisa muttered. "There don't seem to be any available seats, so you will have to sit next to our new student." I knew she meant me. I didn't look up, but I kept my eye on my blank sheet of binder paper. I heard the stool screech against the tiled floor.  I turned my head even more when I felt the guy sit down. "Okay class, time to get to work."

I scribbled down every word that Lisa said. It was the geek coming out in me. When class was over, two full pages of binder paper were lined with blue writing. The bell rang and everyone was out of their seats faster than a heartbeat. Except the guy next to me. I kept my mind off him as I closed the binder. I pulled my schedule out from the front of it. Next was... Geography, great. I hopped off the stool and walked out of the classroom. I was walking down the halls when I heard, "Where'd you get your clothes from? Dorks R Us?" I turned around to face three girls. The blonde one in the centre was the leader, I just knew it.  "Excuse me?" "You heard me." I glared and turned away. I began walking to class as f nothing ever happened, but it did.

My last class of the day was Gym. I'm not the best in it, but I'm not the worst. I walked into the gym in uniform, red t-shirt and black shorts. I saw all the girls wearing shorts that really looked like underwear. I stared down at mine. They dangled down to my knees. The P.E. teacher stormed in. "Girls!" she announced. We all looked at her. "Because Coach Gerald is 'sick' today, we are going to have some... guests joining us for practise!" The girls perked up, but I could be less than perky. The guys all walked into the gym like they owned the place. I looked down at my running shoes, keeping my gaze off of any guys. Coach Pines' whistle blew. "Okay! Everyone 3 laps around the gym! Now!" I started jogging in the middle of everyone. I saw that blonde girl again. I kept my eyes in front of me and kept jogging. Bad idea. The blonde girl tripped me, and I couldn't see her foot. I skidded on the ground as I fell. "Agh!" I grunted, sitting upright. I dusted off my hands as people passed me. I heard the rubber soles of someone's shoes against the waxed floor. I saw a hand appear in the corner of my eye. I looked up to find a guy. Not muscular, like the others, but not lanky like a nerd. Just... average. I took his hand and he pulled me up. "Thanks," I muttered, dusting my ass off. "No problem-" "Ramsay! Davis! Get moving!" I jumped a little and started my jog again. The Ramsay dude kept pace with me. "So. I never caught your name this morning," he smiled. I looked at him. "Well, I'm the new girl. No one wants to know my name." "Not true. I'm asking you right now." I smiled. "Maelie." "Sounds catchy... Maelie, Maelie..." he repeated in odd ways. I giggled a little bit. "And you are?" I asked. "Josh. Josh Ramsay." We stopped. The 3 laps were over. Now, we were playing volleyball. Even though I suck, I love this game.

"Mine!" I yelled, going for the ball that was barely a step away from me. That blonde chick decided to play rough and hit the ball instead. While she did... that, she also managed to hi my cheek. So she pretty much slapped me. I stumbled back. We didn't even get the point, but that chick made her point.

After school, I decided to walk home. I opened the door and called into the house, "Yo! I'm home!" I heard Drew singing in the shower. "Typical..." I sat down in my black and white striped basement bedroom and pulled out my homework. All I had was Algebra, really. I plugged my earphones into my iPod and music blared through out the little buds...

So? What do you think? Good? Bad? Comment below please and I'll get back to you! Maelie --->
