Lucifer didn't sleep with anyone that night. Instead, he stayed up and thought about Delilah.
When he saw her walk down the stairs next to her friend, Taylor, he knew he wanted her then. He liked the innocence in her appearance. The way her white dress wasn't tight but flowed down her body. The lack of dramatic makeup. The loose curls falling over her shoulders.
He watched as the two friends made their way to a seat, got drinks, then watched as her friend left. He even noticed the fact that she didn't drink alcohol. For a moment, he thought she had vodka in her glass but he smelled no drink on her when he sat near her.
Then he talked to Delilah (he thought that named suited her beautifully) and was enraptured. His heart sped up, which never happened, as she spoke.
She was insecure about her looks and Lucifer wanted nothing more than to take her to his penthouse and show her how beautiful she was.
And then her friend dragged her away. She said a quick sorry and left, leaving Lucifer to miss the woman.
The next day, he attempted to find this woman. Mentally, he cursed himself for not asking her last name because that would've made everything so much easier.
He had even asked the bouncer if he had saw someone with the name Delilah. Lucifer almost considered firing the man when he said he remembered the woman but forgot her last name.
The next day, he almost gave up his search until his phone buzzed on the counter with a text from his partner at the LAPD, Chloe Decker.
I need you at the station. New ME. Don't hit on her.
Lucifer typed a response before getting dressed in a suit, shoving his phone in a pocket, and leaving his penthouse.

Delilah's hands shook with nervousness as she prepared for her first day at the new precinct.
She had on a pair of black jeans, a pink button up tucked into the jeans, and a pair of pink flats on her feet. She wanted to make a good impression that morning so she made sure to dress up but not enough to where she seemed pretentious.
Taylor inspired that Delilah leave her blonde hair down and just keep a hairbow on her wrist so she did just that. She didn't do much makeup, only some concealer to cover up stress-induced pimples and some mascara.
