Delilah fell asleep after Taylor left to go to her room and was harshly woken up by her alarm the next morning.

Begrudgingly, she got ready for the day. Her mind ran wild, thinking of what she was going to do if she ran into Lucifer. She wasn't going to be sweet or forgiving like she was the day before.

If he asked her on another date, she'd say no. That was for sure. If he was truly interested in her, he'd actually have to show her.

Delilah figured he wouldn't apologize or ask her if she was okay today. He would probably be back to his flirtatious self.

She cursed Detective Decker for having Lucifer as her civilian consultant. She could've chose anyone. But now her job was going to be awkward and it was only the third day!

Delilah slipped into a pair of black dress pants, paired with a long sleeve, dark blue blouse, and a simple pair of flats. Her hair was pulled back into a slick ponytail, matched with a small blue ribbon around the hair bow.

Taylor wished her best friend the best of luck as she stepped out the door, keys swinging around in her hand.

On her way to work, she stopped at a Starbucks and picked up an Iced Coffee as well as a seven eleven to grab a few energy drinks.

Maybe if she drunk enough, she'd forget about everything that happened.

Eventually, Delilah's car pulled into the parking garage of the precinct and she stepped out, carefully balancing a 7/11 bag, an iced coffee, her keys, and her phone as well as a purse slung over her shoulder.

A few officers greeted Delilah with a wave to which she gave a meek hello and a nod, not entirely able to wave. She passed Detective Dan, the one Ella introduced her too, and they had a small chat.

Delilah found her office and immediately ran in, closing the door behind her. She hadn't seen Lucifer yet but she didn't doubt he'd be there.

She hung up her purse, put her energy drinks in a small fridge she had and took a seat at her desk, turned away from the door so she can look at her computer. The soft voice of Lana Del Rey took away her thoughts if only for a short moment as she wrote up reports and filled in paperwork on the desktop.

Nobody bothered her for at least 2 hours, giving her the chance to relax and calm down after a mind-boggling morning.

Then there were a few short raps at her door and it slowly opened up.
