i woke up screaming
oh god it was only a dream. Todd's not here, he won't find me
"Amy, are you alright"
i looked up. i didn't see jimmy standing in the doorway of my room.
"um, yeah I'm fine, just a bad dream"
oh no, i should not have said that
i began to shake, I'm sure he noticed.
"tell me about it"
"no, it's alright, really, go get some sleep"
"no, your shaking, it's alright. no ones going to hurt you here,"
i began to cry, the dream really did scare me. It felt so real. like he was in front of me, screaming at me and hitting me.
"i had a dream that Todd was screaming at me. he kept saying that no one would love me because I'm all bruised up from being beat and shit, he said i should obey him at all times and that i wasn't allowed to leave. he hit me, it felt so real."
Jimmy looked at me, he didn't say anythimg
"please speak to me? I'm scared"
i cried even harder. i began to cough because i was crying so hard
"its' alright, you're safe with me, why don't you come into my room. stay with me tongiht you'll be safe"
He began to rub my back, which calmed me down. it also made me very sleepy.
i smiled "sure"
he lifted me up bridal style and carried me to his room.
he set me down on the bed and went to the other side to lay down
he looks really good shirtless
"get some rest, um tomorrow i have to get Cheyenne. "
he smiled "i get to meet a baby" he said it so child like it made me laugh
"yeah, she's my daughter". my voice trailed off
"bad stuffs happened to you Amy. but you can fix it. you can make it all better for chyenne, you love her with all your heart. that's why you had your mom take her so she can have a better life. that shows how wonderful you are, and she's so lucky to have a mom like you"
he's so warm and carefree. chy would love him

"thanks for the advice jimmy, that made me feel better"
he smiled. oh my gosh did he blush?
my eyes began to feel like they had something on them. i began to fall asleep. the last thing i remember before i fell asleep was jimmy. he was watching me
i woke up to the smell of coffee hitting my nose. god how i missed coffee. Todd didn't want me to drink it because it gave me bad breath. according to him.
i sat up and walked into the kitchen
Jimmy was making breakfast
oh no. eggs
"morning"he said all cheery
"morning"
i smiled and sat down, i started at the eggs, god i hate those damn things there nasty little fuckers
"eggs?"
"u,m. no, jimmy, i don't eat eggs"
:ah thanks OK then"
he got me a plate and put some pancakes on them oh god yum.
it's been so long since i had these. everyday it was the same thing, ham and eggs
"here you go"
"whoa thanks!" i practically jumped out of my seat.
"haven't had those in a while huh?"
"you guessed it"
"today we get to see Cheyenne?" he asked with excitement and curiosity
"yes"
(30 minutes later)
i looked at myself in the mirror. i wore a black long sleeve shirt that hugged my body and made me look curvy. jeans that hugged my hips and flats, i wore some jewelry to tie the look together, when i started at myself, i felt pretty.
"you look nice" jimmy appeared behind me. i wasn't expecting him
"thanks"
it's been a while since i got a complement, it felt nice to get one again.

i pushed the thought to the back of my head, he won't get in my way ever again.
"come on, lets go get Cheyenne. I'll drive to my mothers"
I'm excited that my mother is seeing jimmy again, i wonder if she'll remember him
(1 hour later)
i stood outside my mother's door waiting to knock, when i finally did my mother answered holding chy. god was i glad to see her.
"hey mom, I'm here to get Cheyenne"
"oh Amy good for you, you've gotten away from him. I'm so proud. she missed you amy"
i smiled. my little girls face lit up like a Christmas tree
"hi baby, mommy's here"
she nodded and wanted me to hold her. i couldn't wait to have her in my arms again.
"Amy, who's behind you. " my mother asked, she had a good sense of observing things.
i started at jimmy, who started at me
"mom, do you remember Jimmy"
she smiled. "yes of course. he was such a nice boy"
i seemed so pleased how everything was going. it finally seemed everyhting was falling into place.
