Chapter 5

Morning

At breakfast table

Neil:  good morning everyone.
Everyone:  good morning.
Neil:  Arre Anuj and kareena kahan hai?
Maddy:  dono college gaye hain.. Unke assignments submit karne ki last date hai aj.
Neil:  okay
Shweta:  Neil beta Tu jaldi se nashta khatam kar mujhe bohot zaruri kaam hai tujhse.
Neil:  kya mom?
Shweta:  tujhe kuch ladkiyon ki photos dikhane hai.. Maine shortlist ki hai..
Neil was drinking water when he chocked.
Bebe:  Tu bhi na Shweta.. Isne kal toh han ki hai and Tu aj hi..
Shweta:  toh kya Bebe.. Aapko toh pata hai yeh kitna busy hai.. Phr kab aaye kya pata?  Isliye maine soch liya hai iss baar iske jane se pehle main iska rishta pakka karwa ke hi rahuingi.
Maddy:  bhabhi wo toh thik hai but yeh kuch zyada hi jaldi nahi hai?
Shweta:  nahi Maddy jiji aur..
Before Shweta could say further Neil said
Mom mujhe photo nahi dekhni.. Kyunki.. Mujhe ek larki pasand aa gayi hai..
Shweta got time to register was he is saying actually..
Prakash:  kon hai wo beta?
Neil:  Avni.. Avni naam hai uska.
Shweta:  par jab maine pucha tha tujhse ki koi larki hai toh bata de tab toh tune bola tha koi nahi hai..
Neil:  wo mom.. Wo Juhi ki friend hai.. And abhi kuch time pehle hi mila usse.. Though humne bateein nahi ki but wo mujhe achhi lagi so i just...
Neil gave his boyish look..
Prakash:  shukar hai koi larki toh isse pasand aayi..
Bebe:  Putter naam toh acha hai.. Baki wo larki ki family ke baare mein bata.. Wo kya karti hai..  Uske bare mein..
Neil:  wo toh mujhe nahi pata..
Maddy:  yeh lo larki pasand kar li and uski family ka kuch ata pata hi nahi hai..
Neil got upset hearing this..
Bebe:  Maddy.. ( she glared)  chal koi naa putter.. Tujhe kuch toh pata hoga..
Neil:  bebe wo juhi ki friend hai.. Abhi toh wo so rahi hogi thori der baad mein puch lunga...

After sometime Neil called Vidyut.. Firstly he was hesitant to ask about Avni but then he told him his inner turmoil.. He wanted to talk to Juhi but Vidyut told him that she is busy in rituals but they are going to her parent's home.. And if he want he can meet them and ask everything,  to which Neil agreed.

At the cafe
Juhi:  Baby hum yahan kyun aaye hai.. Hume mumma papa k pass jana hai..
Vidyut:  han but pehle kuch zaroori kaam hai..
Vidyut saw Neil already waiting for them.. He was sitting in the corner.. Vidyut took Juhi over there.
Neil... Juhi said astonishingly..
Have a seat you both said Neil.
Vidyut told everything to Juhi and juhi was amazed hearing this.
Juhi:  are you sure?  I mean are you sure you want to get married to her?  See this is a very big step,  actually the most important one.. You have to spend your whole life with her, not a day Or a month.. This could be infatuation too..
Neil:  you are right Juhi.. This could be anything.. And love this soon is next to impossible.. And even I am not saying I love her.. Atleast not now but this i know I want to spend my life with her.. In just few hours she is on my mind.. U know what, I saw her smiling yesterday.. And then once she frowned.. How much I wanted to replace that frown with the smile on her face is only i knw.. I do 't know whether we are made for each other or not but all I want her to stay beside me.. So that i can never let that frown come on her face. N even if you think i am still not a right choice for her we could just finish it off..
Juhi knew her friend.. And she even knew that nobody better than Neil can be her life partner.. She could see the love in his eyes for Avni which even he doesn't know yet.
Juhi:  so tell me what I have to do?  She winked.

After a lot of discussion they don't know what exactly to do..
Juhi:  Neil i knw her.. If you go straight to her she will never accept you..
Hey i have a plan..
See her family is here for few days.. And I know Neela aunty she is so eager to get her married..
Neil/Vidyut:  toh?
Juhi:  Arre idiot toh hum Neela aunty se baat karte hai na..
Vidyut:  stupid.. Acha thori lagta hai ki hum directly aunty se baat kare.. Neil ki kya image banegi phir?
Neil:  no no vidyut i have a plan.. Juhi teri family Avni ki family ko janti hai?
Juhi:  han even mom and Neela aunty have a good bond.
Neil:  great.. Toh ask your mom to talk to Neela aunty like sending my proposal for Avni.. N Tu bhi Neela aunty se baat kar mana unhe taki wo Avni ko mana le.. And aage I'll handle..
Vidyut:  wahh mere sher.. Kya idea lagaya hai..
Juhi:  pyar mein logon ki light band ho jati hai yahan jalne lagi gai.. Hehe..
Neil rolled his eyes...

After the chit chat Vidyut and Juhi took leave and went to execute their plan..
Meanwhile Neil told his family members that he has send his propsal through Juhi..

At Avni's house

The bell ranged for the second time..
Neela:  aa rahi huin...
Neela opened the door and saw Juhi and ger mom standing there..
Neela:  Arre aap.. Aaiye na ander.. Avni toh office gayi hai.. Mujhe pata hota aap log aa rahe hai toh usko bolti ki jaldi aa jaye.
Juhi:  it's okay aunty.. Waise bhi hum aapse milne aaye hai..
Neela:  mujhse..
J. Mom:  ji.. Wo aapse ek zaruri baat karni hai.
Neela:  ji boliye
Juhi:  aunty wo vidyut ka friend hai Neil.. Neil khanna.. Uski family kal shadi pe aayi thi.. Wo bohot ache log hai.. Rich hai phir bhi bohot down towards hai..
Neela was not getting what Juhi is trying to say..
Wo aunty.. Wo.. Wo unko kal Avni bohot pasand aayi hai and unhone Avni ka rishta manga hai Neil ke liye.
Neela was shocked.. Ahe doesn't know how to react.. She ka happy but at the same time fearful.. Meri bacchi ka rishta.
J. Mom:  Neela larka bohot acha hai.. Mumbai mein job hai uski.. Uske father ka bohot bara business hai yahan but phr bhi wo khud ko establish karne mein laga hai... Family bhi bohot achi hai.. Wo log Avni ko dekhne aana chahte hai.. Tum sabko agar thik lage toh.. Wo larka wapis chala jayega agle hafte isiliye unhe jaldi hai..
Neela was dumbstruck to say anything.. She composed herself and said.. Hmm main kya bolun.. Mujhe pehle Avni ke papa se baat karni hogi and Avni se...
She was interrupted by Ashish who overheard their conversation..
Ashish:  namaste.. He nodded his head.. Ji bhabhi ji.. Hume larka and larke ki family achi lagi.. Lekin yeh humari beti ka mamla hai..
J. Mom:  ji bhai sahab.. But bass wo larka hai abhi yahan and aap log bhi hai isiliye bass.. And waise bhi milne mein toh koi har nahi.. Agar pasand na aaye to mana kar dijiyega..
Ashish:  ji ek bar Avni se shammein baat kar le.. Wo kab free hai phr hum unhe bula lenge..
Juhi got excited.. Thank you uncle..
Thank you aunty..
Neela:  beta Juhi u sure wo larka Avni ke layak hai?
Juhi:  ji aunty.. Mujhe pata hai meri dost kya deserve karti hai.. Wo acha nahi hota toh main khud nahi bolti.. Neil Avni ke liye ekdum perfect match hai.. Main bass itna bolungi ki aapko apne iss decision pe kabhi regret nahi hoga.  (She assured them).  And ab yeh hai Neil ki photo.. Uski and uske family details.. Aap chahe toh pata kara le..
Neela took them.. Now she is wondering how to tell Avni all this..
