Y/N POV

Thomas immediately went in following Hunter's message and he gave me a look, I want to say he was asking if I was going to follow him, but I didn't.

What did I want?

And even if I knew, was it possible?

And what was that just now?

Family? I mean he's a billionaire at 23? No surprise that he'd have a wife or kids as he was more than capable of providing for them. I guess I just didn't think he was that type, but he does need an heir...

I stayed on the roof for a bit, then went downstairs to make myself a glass of whiskey in the conference room, thinking I wouldn't be disturbed. I was wrong.

Two young boys walked in and I had never seen them before, but they didn't look suspicious at all, so I wasn't alarmed. In fact, they were the total opposite, happily chatting away with each other.

Boy 1:"I mean I like coming to New York and seeing them, but yeah, I wish it wasn't always because of-"

Boy 2:"Oh, hello," he says at me.

I put my glass down and stand.

Y/n:"Hello..."

Boy 2:"I don't think we've met"

Y/n:"Definitely not," I offer a small chuckle.

Boy 1:"We're Tom's younger brothers, twins actually."

Tom. I've only heard one other person call him that, Harrison, which could only mean he was part of his life before this whole mafia thing.

Everyone else called him boss, even the civilians who worked for the restaurants. I still wasn't sure who knew who he was or not in his businesses...

Y/n:"Ah, I heard his family was here."

Boy 2:"Yeah, us, our younger brother, and parents."

His parents? I recall him just saying that his father wanted nothing to do with the whole mafia thing.

And is it strange that I felt relieved that family, in this case, didn't mean wife and kids? Because I still couldn't actually be sure that meant he had none.

Boy 1:"Are you a new inductee?" He blurts out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Y/n:"I'm not, actually... I'm just... The doctor."

Boy 1:"The... Oh!"

They look at each other and smirk.

They were so youthful and full of life, not like everyone you usually see around here.

I couldn't help but smile and play along.

Y/n:"Alright, what do you guys know?" I playfully glare and cross my arms.

Boy 2:"A lot," they both nod and start laughing.

I just shake my head and laugh along with them.

THOMAS POV

Thomas:"Yes, mother, I promise that-" I was leading my parents up to the conference room when I heard a familiar set of voices laughing together inside.

Harrison:"Seems like the twins have met the doc," he nods towards the door.

Thomas:"It seems so..." I peer in before slowly pushing the door open, ignoring my parents' slightly concerned expressions, "Evening, doc."
